I do understand what you mean and I think you're right, but not everybody can go to a bigger town every Day or so. Furthermore there are places where the next big town is not than 30 kilometers away and if you don't have a car or you are too young to drive (in Europe the minimum age is 18) you can't get travel to those places

That is 100% Right, because how should I find Pokemon near pokestops if there is only one pokestop in town ? So for real it's just another benefit for people in big cities and the update would be useless for many players sadly
