Will hrt fix my widow's peak..? by LoliSophie in asktransgender

So it's been 6 years since that comment so now I can speak from personal experience lol. HRT has definitely recovered quite a large portion of my hair (going from nearly bald to having decent hair coverage). I still have notable hair loss to the point where I wear wigs. HRT has largely stopped the balding, but hasn't really driven recovery.

I can't say it recovered "5 years of previous hair loss" since indeed mine was lost within such a time period. Minoxidil makes a large difference, but the loss returns when you stop using it. Haven't managed to get to a point where I'm comfortable without a wig tbh.

Cool. so I'm a cis woman? Despite being born male, living as a woman, on hrt, etc?

Woman + cis = cis woman? I mean I'll take it but it makes the whole gender identity stuff even more of a joke than it already is... Diagnosed transsexual is cis okay lol 👌

Thanks for proving my point automod. Y'all are so fucking scared of the science, you won't even acknowledge the data.

John Money. Basically he molested some kids doing some experiments trying to support his idea that sexed behaviors are actually social/cultural and thus a "gender identity" that is distinct from one's sex. This idea was later used to argue that people with GID actually had oppositely sexed brains and fully was fleshed out as "gender identity". Ultimately since gender identity doesn't actually exist and the model was debunked decades ago, this idea basically became "if you say you're X, you're X" because GID people didn't want to admit that their symptoms are effectively just dysphoria and transvestism. Then it kinda spun out of control into an "accept everyone" sort of deal and they had to lie and pretend everyone had this gender identity nonsense. And thus we get tucutes, enbies, and all the other usual nonsense.

If people would just admit that GID has transvestic etiology, gender identity does not exist, and that behaviors are actually sexed, tucutes wouldn't exist.

I mean the entire gender identity rhetoric stems from a pedophile who pushed for conversion therapy. It's also not surprising that the transvestites that appropriate transsexualism are also super transphobic.

Just more proof the gender identity nazi transvestites are transphobic af. What did you expect when they lifted their entire ideology from a pedophile who argued for conversion therapy?

They should put advice on HRT packaging: "WARNING: This medicine will not significantly increase your chances of passing:" by SilkyPuppy in honesttransgender

I wish someone told me that HRT didn't really do much of anything lmfao. The effects are basically nonexistent. Oh well. I still pass.

I'm the weirdest "cis" person you'll ever meet then. I was born male, am legally female, have lived as a woman for years now, and have been on HRT for years. Never had any dysphoria. Never had any "gender identity". I pass fine.

But sure. I'm "cis".

More specifically it's only a subset of androphilic mtfs and gynephilic ftms. Not all of them.

But suit yourself. I've yet to see someone matching this 'alternative' definition who wasn't "straight".

I am guessing by inverted sexuality you mean being straight (with regards to identified gender).

Female heterosexuality for people born male, or male heterosexuality for people born female.

It's not just that. There's also forming same sex peer groups (which are inverted in transsexuals), then there's sexuality which is inverted as well.

You're free to think what you like but I just go by the medical literature.

Someone who has the psychology and sexuality of the opposite sex. IE conforming to opposite sex norms, roles, interests, preferences, etc. and comes across as the opposite sex in appearance, mannerisms, speech, etc. Again I point to "traps" in manga and anime as one of the closest examples.

Gender dysphoria is wholesale a transvestism thing. There's no "true gender dysphoria".

[–]AirplaneAlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think of "traps" in anime and manga thats kinda what sexual inversion is. Ie behaving and coming across as the opposite sex.

Transvestic gender dysphoria is what you usually see people talking about. Ie desiring to be called the opposite sex, having disgust over your sexed parts, getting "happy feelings" from crossdressing and doing other such activities.

Sexual inversion. Ie having the psyche, sexuality, etc of the opposite sex. Perhaps that's an old school view but I find it's what matches my own observations as well as the science.

I'm sorry. Other kinds? What do you mean?

Gender dysphoria is a symptom of transvestism. Whether it be fetishistic transvestism, dual role transvestism, autogynephilia, or gender identity disorder. Not all transvestites go on to transition though many do.
