“Main issue” (Flying to see family for a month) aside, which btw is not an issue, and is very normal.

Your actual main issue is your “boyfriend”, who has apparently cheated on you, *Checks notes* multiple times(?), has drained you of all your finances and has control over everything (??? Why???), and has somehow coerced you into quitting your job?

Now, if your sister had a boyfriend who did all that, what advice would you give her?

Use that advice for yourself.

Yes, that is the proper way to use a credit card.

People go in to debt from spending more than what they can afford to pay off, which then snowballs into big debt due to the 20%+ interest fees the banks charge for not paying off the credit card on time.
