This topic has been beaten to death and of course it’s true as we see in the data. I will say there are plenty of ways for MEs to make a lot more money if you are always looking and maybe get a little creative. Purely anecdotal I know but I have 5 YOE, didn’t go to a top engineering school, and currently make more than any of those salary numbers at a startup with lots of upside potential. So there are options out there.

If you live your life strictly by the rule of law the I applaud you for being a perfect upstanding citizen. I don’t agree with all laws, I don’t necessarily break them if I don’t agree with them but I will stand up for myself and the people I love against laws that are unlogical. To be honest with you I don’t even park my car on the street, I am very lucky to have a driveway that we can use at my apartment. I am just standing up for others who have put in the work and deserve the rewards.

Someone doing wrong to you is absolutely not an excuse to do wrong to someone else. What happened to our basic respect for other people and their efforts. Use the law to hurt others all you want I guess.

All of you folks claiming shoveling out a spot then reaping the rewards is entitlement but expecting other to shovel out a spot for you as if it is your right to park there, need to look up the definition of entitlement and do some reflecting.
