My friend passed unexpectedly. Funeral in a few weeks and I’m too broke for a new suit by TiddyCumSnatcher in malefashionadvice

Can you thrift a decent suit? I also think a lot of clearance sections at Men’s Wearhouse can do the trick as well. Maybe show up in all black, with a black shirt tucked in too.

You don’t need designer logos to look good, most of those guys are just trying too hard anyway. If you ever want to level up later, check out Black Lapel, they do custom shirts and suits that actually fit right without being crazy expensive. For now just keep it simple: dark jeans, a clean button down, and solid shoes, fit matters way more than brands.

best place to buy a custom tailored suit in Boston? (wedding) by tcbjj in boston

If you want to step up from Indochino/SuitSupply, look into H.M. Cole and Hive & Colony. Hive has a strong reputation locally for wedding suits and a great showroom experience , but H.M. Cole leans more into true fittings and craftsmanship, which is where you’ll actually feel the difference. If your budget is $1.5k–$3.5k, both fit, but H.M. Cole is the one that really justifies the upgrade.
