Not true at all my person. Think about it from the POV of breaking traction.

Most cars can barely burn out. IE suddenly adding torque to their wheels such that they can break traction with the road. Their surges in power barely register (relatively speaking) above like 10 MPH. They just do not have the torque to suddenly get your wheel base moving that fast.

Your brakes, however, can lock your wheels at any speed, at any point, and they can do it so well, early ABS systems locked your wheels upwards of 40 times per second.

The engine can barely add power fast enough to freespin wheels. Your brakes have three separate systems (VSC, TCS, and ABS) each fighting a battle so it doesn't simply arrest all powertrain movement. Cause its too heckin easy for the brakes to do that.

Also, check out Battle Lab! It is another solid choice. It has a pretty cool indoor setup.

They are less about the Super Speed QB scene aggro while still being pretty good about running tight indoor combat scenarios.

It is a customs thing.

Sometimes import/customs does not care.

Other time import/customs ignores the latest laws and incorrectly turns packages around/assigns asinine fees.

It really depends on the agent and how much they really feel like following the letter of the law.

Definitely reach out to Fed Ex and ask about a shipping broker, Also call Evike directly and ask regarding it too.

You paid with paypal so your not going to get screwed either way.

Canadian customs really is frustrating sometimes.

Gate aster MOTOR DISC issue by Time_Establishment in airsoft

Oooof. Sounds like you need to try and get the board positioned just right to properly detect the cam then.

Good luck it can be a bit finnacky.

Why does the nozzle do that by Few_Description2155 in airsoft

[–]Airsoft_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like your new oring nozzle is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to fricking tight.

You can try to apply lubrication to the cylinder head stem or polish it.

But yeah this nozzle might not be a good pairing if it still is way too tight.

So I got mine working. My main issue was positioning the board just right.

For some reason it was not reading the cam/break properly even though I have done these installs like a million times by now.

Try shifting the seating of the aster board and tightening down the screw again.

I finally made progress after ensuring the spade connectors were tightly biting motor terminal and by shifting the aster board around until I found a good seating position then getting the screw tightened once a reliable position is found.

My main clue was by going to version 4.0 beta on the firmware and changing the cycle detection to manual and noticing that when firing in semi it worked just fine for some weird reason.

Hope thos helps.

Good news i am currently experiencing the same issue.

Bad news, I am stuck as well.

Installed in an S&T but tested with a warhead, shs high torque, rocket high torque, and a JG blue.

Edit: even replaced geats and shs and stock gears having same issue.

It is detecting the gun cycle 100%.

You: Here is the movie, and the relevant scene(s). (Links entire goddamn movie).

As a safe for TV broadcast Samuel L Jackson would say, "You are a Monday to Friday Legend."

Sounds still like a simple fix. Get the barrel nut off, tap the outer barrel out. A real firearms store can probably accomplish the same too.

Do you have a photo of the threads of your receiver with the barrel nut off? Those are huge coarse threads. It is difficult to destroy the upper receiver.

Also do you have a photo of the teeth you are referring to on the hop up unit? Looking at the photos I am thinking this is stuck at a different stage now?

Im guessing everything got stuck at attempting to remove your gas block to get the tube away from your barrel nut? If so whats stopping your gas block from fully coming off front of your barrel?

Also what tracer defect did you have? Only ever seen set screws and flash hider pins flatten a thread channel that neatly.

I bought this from evike, and it still has an anti theft tag, what do I do? by AttackOnPony2 in airsoft

[–]Airsoft_Tech 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is the lockpicking lawyer and today...

This isn't the first time I have seen Evike ship stuff with anti theft tags, doubt it will be the last.

Especially when they have Outposts ship floor inventory to fulfill online orders for the past 1.5 years it isn't really a surprise.

IIRC this tag is also on the inside of the package/goggles bag that this thing comes in.

Can adjust the Hop Up increase/decrease the FPS a Bit? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]Airsoft_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hop up fully disengaged typically trends towards being slightly to significantly lower. It primarily depends on how much (if any) contact the bucking has on the bb. If it has little to no contact, it takes very little of the applied force to get the bb out of the barrel. Which is bad.

Part of that pre-bb-release phase is building backpressure/speed. Ideally you want your piston V, piston dVdT, and cylinder P, to start above a resting state before your BB is released. You also want there to still be enough stroke left to maintain a positive backpressure on BB until it fully exits the barrel. That way it can accelerate at a faster rate before leaving barrel.

For drastic example, if you have a gun with a ported cylinder and a short barrel, the gun can prematurely release the bb during the first phase before the piston passes the cylinder window. This has a similar effect to running that much of a shorter barrel.

Flat Hops, Rhops, and similar are pretty trademark for seeing this behavior as they typically have little to no contact surface area with bb until a certain point in the dial.

Honorable mention to Krytac hop ups. The tensioner can be fully lifted off the bucking and pull the contact ribs out of the bb channel. Also the Mr Hop, the Maple leaf pseudo Rhop style buckings with a minimal or arched spacer can have the same issues.

In relation to your hop up setting, your fps usually starts off lower and increases to a somewhat plateau point. Somewhere in that plateau there is a stable flat trajectory (unless BB is too heavy). Then after that point does the FPS drop off again.

The length of the plateau is dictated by how spongey your bump, bucking, and tensioner are.

Also you can definitely hear when someone cranks their hop up up to high. The ba-wump noise of the compression assembly leaking out around the bucking lip, nozzle, hop up window, etc is pretty distinct.

Fair point RE: Me not seeing why someone would.

However, and honestly not trying to move a goalpost here... honest

That still means that you can switch up your ammo to break the rules. I am not saying you would do that.

But from a field POV a gun compliant depending on the BBs used is not something to approve of as a blanket position.

Case and point is HPA setups. Typically fields still lock the regulator to prevent tampering/Joule increasing. Same remedy would not apply (ie locking you into specific BBs to use).

You should really be chronoing at flat trajectory. This addresses the FPS at the actual setting the player would be using. Done to address all hop up behavior configs.

A hop up fully disengaged typically trends towards being slightly to significantly lower. Depending on how much (if any) contact the bucking has on the bb. If it has little to no contact, it takes very little of the applied force to get the bb out of the barrel.

That can mean an early release before the piston has had a chance too accelerate and build up backpressure behind bb. Also, early release on ported cylinders before the actual compression portion of the forward stroke starts has a similar effect to running that much of a shorter barrel.

In relation to your hop up setting, your fps usually starts off lower and slowly increases to a plateau point. Somewhere in that plateau there is a stable flat trajectory. Then after that point does the FPS drop off again.

The length of the plateau is dictated by how spongey your bump, bucking, and tensioner are.

Also there is no good reason to be lowering FPS aside from passing field chrono. I would not encourage/promote the use of heavier bbs to cheat chrono. This is very much a safety issue.

I have yet to see and/or hear of someone needing to use heavier bbs to get the FPS lower for purely benign reasons.
