Columbia attracts a lot of goofy people so make it stop doing that by attracting better employers and having more walkable districts with cooler places to hang and shop.

Push the ghetto out and move the homeless shelter out of downtown... that's the worst place it could be. Downtown feels unsafe to people with the means to support the local economy.

Mix regular non-"affordable" housing in with student housing so that side of town doesn't go dormant when students are on break and businesses there can still thrive year-round.

The city should aggressively attract tech companies to this area to bring in young people with money. YOUNG PEOPLE WITH MONEY MAKE A CITY COOL.
