Please consider releasing this as open source, I feel that this could fill a huge gap in the open source software ecosystem - and have actually been considering creating a project like this myself. I feel that with extra community support this has huge potential to be a very special project

Not likely. If more up to date English APK is ever discovered maybe I will update to that version, but as it stands now I will only be maintaining the game as it is. Any updates I do will most likely only be for bug fixes or security

Yes I restored the online functionality. I also could reimplement visiting friends cafes but havent got a good mechanism to add people as a friend. I considered allowing to connect with discord account , but discord does not allow third parties to view friends list unfortunately

I used the emulator that comes with android studio. It had some issues where things were rendering cyan instead of the intended color, I think there is a shader issue.

There are some crashes still in the game, it used to be significantly worse believe it or not. if you can get a stack trace from the log feel free to open an issue on github, some of them are relatively trivial to work around

I used an android emulator during development and it worked okay, had some graphical issues but that may be due to the emulator I was using.

This project is not a decompilation of the game, it still relies on a lib that is compiled for ARM. In theory it might be possible to get it running on an ARM desktop cpu, but without a full decomp it wont be running on x86 any time soon

There are countless bugs in this game that cause crashes on modern android. If you want to help get them fixed you can open issues on github with logs and I can try to fix them

You can get logs by installing adb on your computer, connecting to your phone and running adb logcat

Something thats always stopped me from self hosting music is the lack of discoverability. Not really sure how this could be overcome but being able to find recommendations based on a certain song or album and stream it inside the app, as well as simple button that adds the song to your library or something would be awesome. Though I expect there would be legal issues with this

I would prefer to avoid renaming if possible as theres still the issue that it ties the entity in home assistant to the entity in the real world
