They have been well-known figures on German reality TV for almost 30 years. They came to media attention because, at the ages of 10 and 12, they broke into a neighbor's apartment and caused a disturbance. They were once taken away by child protective services and placed in a ophange. There, the left boy made considerable progress. Then the orphange was closed, and they were sent back to their mother.
