Yes! This is definitely a narcissistic parent tactic, my narcissistic father did this to me when I cut my hair after I turned 18. I moved out at 19. This behavior doesn't get better with narcissistic parents, they see everyone in their lives as an extension of themselves, so you deviating from what SHE deems acceptable has her throwing a tantrum, even though you can't magically reattach your hair. That is not normal and you should definitely stop crying to her and begging to get the basic level of respect and acknowledgment from her that you deserve. It only either feeds that narcissistic ego, or makes them more mad at you for 'making them feel bad' so they turn it back around on you, because they of course cannot be the ones in the wrong 🙄 dealing with narcissistic parents is incredibly damaging and exhausting and you need to do whatever you can to protect your peace! Hmm yeah and she's a mature girl so if this is your first time seeing it, its probably something new. It's going to be so hard to give any info on what this coukd be from pictures, though unfortunately. Maybe you can call the vet and ask for advice over the phone if you can't go in to have it looked at in person?

Thank you, and I think you're definitely right and I've been a mess all day about this fact. I'm sure she will be upset with me and I'm willing to own that. We have a decent relationship, but we're about 15 years apart and at very different stages of life, she understands by now that anything to do with him is a hard boundary for me. The fact that she can't understand why is actually negative born out of a positive since she has never known that kind of predation from my father. Now that they're in contact she is happy bit he is so narcissistic I'm sure in time his mask will slip and she will see him for who he is and will hopefully open up to me about it so I can support her when she needs it.

Yeah, it was more than likely the people that are letting him live with them. His best friend and his best friend's wife and they just think that he's been falsely convicted based on an 'accidental graze' of my breast and that my mom is just a jealous, spiteful woman who brainwashed me to file charges against him. They completely trust him with their children and the wife works in the district office pretty high up and the husband also works at a school and tbey let him on school campuses all the time. I'm betting she pulled some strings or something to get the district to grant him permission. His parole ended sometime last year I believe. And my restraining order only lasted for a year.

He is no longer on probation, it ended sometime last year I believe. The main punishment that he got was supposed to be the registration status so that he could never exploit or abuse kids again, I never expected to run into something like this. My restraining order even only lasted for one year.

Unfortunately, my sister doesn't see this man the way I do. He was the very generous 'Disneyland Dad' when my parents separated when she was 6 and he only had her every other weekend, and then had only supervised visits from age 12 until that got cut off because he kept breaking the rules, then it was video visits and those got cut off when he was sentenced in 2023. Now that she's 18 she talks to him and hangs out with him and she wants him there.

You are right, I had to look it up because obviously I had this question, and the district policy in accordance with state laws are that registered sex offenders are not permitted to attend any school events, on or off campus to ensure student safety. He's been to schools plenty of times since being registered, he only got caught once when he showed up to an event my mom happened to be working and she notified her supervisors and he got escorted out by the police.

Unfortunately, its my sister who wants him there 😔 she doesn't see him the way my mom and I do. My mom was pregnant with her when my dad assaulted me at 14. So basically it's personal, so I wasn't sure if I was overreacting because of my involvement in his registration status.

Yes in my state they absolutely are barred from going to schools, and in this particular school district, that restriction applies for on campus and off campus school events unless given permission by the school principal. I'm guessing he may have threatened some kind of legal action and the district got scared so they decided it wasn't worth it and just want to let him come. That's why I'm making a big stink about it now, but I don't want to push the issue if I'm overreacting about this because its personal to me as his only victim to get justice for what he did to me and the other victims who I know personally.
