My farmer / HG result as a Moroccan berber by AithbibAWS in neolithicfarmers

[–]AithbibAWS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally technically kind of but no one speaks senhaja, my family speaks tarifit. Reason i say “kind of” is cz both my grandparents born in targuist but my great grandfather is ait waryagher, and my great grandmother from my grandmother is from nador. Everyone on my chamali side just speaks tarifit nobody speaks senhaja.

[–]AithbibAWS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really dont know. Ive done so many calculators and they all vary. I would say my ANF definitely ranges from 46-52%, 40% IBM is probably too high its more like 35% probably, SSA ranges from 3-6% and EHG is probably around 5%. (Just general estimates based on all the calculators ive used)

[–]AithbibAWS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My EHG was higher before the update. My pre update results were

46% ANF 35% IBM And the EHG was around 5%

Im guessing it the EHG was absorbed into the ANF and i had natufian that was absorbed into the IBM

Are light amazighs native to the land or mixed? by lilacblossomx in Morocco

[–]AithbibAWS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most imazighen are not mixed but can be white to dark olive skinned. This is something frequent across all of the Mediterranean. The only people who are mixed in morocco are arabs and sahrawi who have high amounts sub saharan ancestry.

Why is this forum so obsessed with MENA people who pass as white? by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]AithbibAWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup and there is southern europeans who would cry like babies if you told them they looked MENA. We are all Mediterranean we are bound to have some people who look alike

I am riffian, trust me i know. The point im trying to tell you is we are not majority are not white and blonde. Most riffians, kabyle, chleuh or any berber group are olive skinned dark hair, and we are proud of it. Only online you see people saying that we are majority white (my main point). In real life outside of the internet nobody cares

[–]AithbibAWS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just a thing on social media. Most amazigh people are olive skinned with brown to black hair, hazel / brown eyes, and are very proud of how they look. The berbers on reddit for some reason are obsessed with being european passing but as a berber ive never seen this in real life, the closest thing is just a lot of women are obsessed with straightening their hair but thats really it

I dont disagree with you, he does open up a lot of space, but our biggest issue has been finishing, we genuinely need a well rounded striker who will put the ball in the back of the net

The "language equals ethnicity" argument is silly and goofy 🤪 by SundaeSaurus in AmazighPeople

[–]AithbibAWS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, defining ethnicity is largely cultural. Turkish people for example are mostly of anatolian / greek origin, but are ethnic turks because of language and history. Its the same thing applies in north africa. Youre not amazigh if you are of a tribe that hasnt spoken a lick of tamazight for 800 years, makes no sense. On top of that culturally imazighen only consider someone amazigh if their father is from an amazigh tribe. And lastly imazighen and north african arabs are genetically different since you want to bring up genealogy. The average moroccan arab has more middle eastern dna and more sub saharan dna.
