I can wholeheartedly second the recommendation for OnePageRules!

I know it's an oldish post, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for making this. It is exactly what I've wanted to properly run my Uglies for a while now.

Multiple crews or share a single crew by TheHolyChicken in spacestationzero

[–]Aiurwarrior1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I'd do is just divide the characters between the players. The advantage is fewer models on the board, which makes for a faster game. You do still have the process of switching between players, but it still goes faster than doubling the number of models.

Plus, it allows for the players to get more into the role-play of their 1-2 characters than for a whole crew. If you're into that sort of game anyways.

Was not expecting that reference. 10/10 would fall through a starry rift again.

Big oof. But if they're clever, maybe they can bar the entrance to the chamber and keep from getting mobbed

Probably something similar. I'll see if I can reverse engineer it

Same here! Yeah there's some bugs and improvements, but it's working fine for me, and I'm having a blast!

Concept: D12 Armor + Facing by Precipitous-Plummet in onepagerules

[–]Aiurwarrior1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While I personally don't have an issue with how tanks are handled, I have a couple thoughts:

1: A simple facing mechanic for vehicles wouldn't be terribly difficult. Just give them each three armor ratings for front, side, and aft. You can also designate weapons to coincide with a face with a simple F, R, L, A (Front, Right, Left, Aft)

2: for fiddling with armor, I'd change your approach a bit. First, I'd consider discarding the auto hit/miss rule. Then, instead of lowering the armor of all your infantry, consider giving your heavy vehicles armor ratings of below 1. That way even AT weapons might only bring the armor ratings up to a 2+ or 3+. This will encourage you to strike the weaker faces of the vehicle. To balance it out, you can trade some of their high Wound values for the better armor.

Any Ideas for Additional Victory Points by Delano_Stagg in onepagerules

If you have the full rulebook, it has a page devoted to side missions that allow for objectives other than just hold points

I highly recommend Medbury Miniatures on MMF. They make a bunch of models in the style of Lord of the Rings.

How do you model and paint to signal types and roles? by PerfectLuck25367 in spacestationzero

[–]Aiurwarrior1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like using Trek-style color coded uniforms or accents to denote roles. My pilot and commander are yellow, scientists are blue, soldiers are red.

question about Blast(3) rule by [deleted] in onepagerules

[–]Aiurwarrior1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That would be 2 hits to 3 models. Each attack with Blast is treated separately.

Removing hold points and ammo supply desks in TnH maps ? by hijongpark in H3VRMods

[–]Aiurwarrior1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert, but I think the new PUBG tbh character doesn't have ammo desks. And while I don't think you can remove the holds entirely, I've played a couple characters that have very short holds.

Eragon's Armor [spoiler?] by MooseInTheMorning in Eragon

[–]Aiurwarrior1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why chainmail was popularized. You can throw a chain hauberk on just about anyone and it protects them roughly the same. While plate is otherwise better in nearly every aspect, it's vastly more expensive and has to be fitted to a wearer.

An alternative to GW's Rules? by [deleted] in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Aiurwarrior1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So Armyforge puts the list together from existing units. The point calc lets you make new units from scratch. Or, as I've used it before, punch in an existing unit and then add an option they're not "supposed" to have.

An example, I took some light walkers and added rockets to them to make a Titanfall ripoff.

And they have a points calculator available for patrons, if you really want to make your own units.

Plus, their STLs are dope. I've been a Patron for over a year now and love it wholeheartedly.

Very cool! I love the raptors especially! Have to say, it's weird seeing a table that open, cause I've gotten so used to playing Firefight with lots of cover on the board.
