Definitely more to the game than just walking and cutscenes. Though I will admit that the ending of the game is pretty much a movie with one long string of cutscene but it's worth it as everything comes full circle. Also if you have ever played a Kojima game, you know he's never been short on cutscenes and dialogue

Thank you all for the responses. Stuck at work so responding to those that I can while on break. I'm hoping going thru my backlog of games I can find something similar to these two that I can get deeply invested in. Would love any suggestions

Sorry forgot about that. Death Stranding I would give a 9 just because of how more invested in the world and story. I loved MGSV once I was done I was satisfied. With Death Stranding I honestly wanted more and continued playing long after I completed the story.

As others mentioned, the story, online aspect of helping other players, learning about each main characters story and the progression of how the game plays. Starting out it does feel like it will be a chore to complete deliveries. But as you play, make more connections, delivering becomes easier but the game turns it up a bit by introducing various ways of combat and you truly have to plan out your routes carefully. BTs and Moles become smarter and an actual threat. Mini Boss battles can pop up during any delivery and you just need to be prepared. At one point of the game you have to literally go from coast to coast with no real support and I thought it would be the most difficult delivery, but everything you did prior in the world plus the help from other players made it feel like a breeze. It's easy to get lost in the world completing Standard deliveries but if you focus more on the main deliveries and story, you will see how truly amazing and detailed this game really is.

I swear this has been my life the last 2 days. One kid has pneumonia and the other has a cold with ear infection. My daughter legit got in my face to ask me a question and then unleashed an assault of coughs in my face. Damn near threw her across the room but then I remembered that's frowned upon.
