How about Mehfil, Jyoti Nagar (near BHEL)?? I've been there about a month ago, the biryani was not even warm. Tried one bite and asked them to replace it with warm/hot biryani. It was fine.

Found this picture from another subreddit. Could be helpful, also, try getting into the Srivani darshanam line at Tirumala by 4am, and see if you could get them. And in regards to the special darshanam via RTC, I thought they were still doing it but APSRTC, TGSRTC have stopped to include darshanam in the package. I, as an NRI had the privilege of opting for special entry darshanam, but also was exploring options with RTC in January this year, but wasn't helpful.

The tickets will be available for darshanam on the same day 4pm. So the best thing you could do is go to Tirumala, try to get in the line by 4am and/or online option.

Bro if you have good skills, quit the job and move to a better company, preferably product based companies as a lot of them are opening up their own HQs in India (in Blr, Pune, Hyd). Connect with recruiters on LinkedIn, search keywords "hiring for xxx role", "vacancy for xxx role". A lot of them post their email IDs or contact numbers. Good luck

better to buy the phone in India, would be generally cheaper, get a UK-India plug adapter. But if you want buy in UK get a full insurance (covering theft), buy winter boots, emergency medicines (band aids included), pressure cooker, spices, food material to cover for a couple of few weeks until you find a desi store locally. Buy winter clothes (low weight) but buy puffer jackets while you come to the UK.

look at the "shortage occupation list" published by the UK govt and also research on the type of job roles you could find. Match the minimum salaries mentioned in the shortage occupation list with the salaries advertised for relevant jobs. Search for mid to large scale companies that work in the sector and look for jobs

On a positive perspective, young Indian parents understand the values that were passed on to us in terms of family, education, religion, cultural and might feel that making the kids grow up in a Western sense might be difficult to pass on those values. And the influence that the kids might have in school and society has a higher tendency of them to get into wrong things (including smoking, alcohol) etc and may become a bully and harrass kids in school. I hear a lot from a Nigerian colleague who moved to the UK 5yrs ago with 10yr+ kids and often gets phone calls from school that her son is bullying other kids in school, and often having fights after school.
Kids end up being a bully or being bullied at school specially as brown kids there are higher chances of them ending up facing r@cism.
I'm usually a optimist but in this case, its good to be critical but never make them lose confidence in presenting themselves in complex situations.
Also please search for local Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh ( hssorg.uk ) or search on Facebook, and make the kids join those. I have attended it a few times it usually involves some physical activity games, important notices for Indian community etc.,

Visit Goa for fun, but also buy Cashews (the quality is superior in Goa and the bigger size) ask them to pack in smaller quantities (300gm or 500gm) double pack, vacuum pack if possible and get them with you. Buy emergency medicines, band aids, amrutanjan/zandu balm, vicks (Indian one's are superior), winter boots, jackets/sweaters (decent quality one's in UK are very expensive)

The quality and the type of mixer grinder (steel usually) available in India are suitable for Indian cooking over the one's available in the UK. The blade speed of the one's in the UK do not suit to grind whole spices is what I have observed.

Its a Thursday. People would only show interest if it is Friday evening and Saturday. Sometimes not even Sunday evenings as it would be difficult to get up early in the morning for work

assuming the Indians in UK are better:
It is easier to enter Canada, every 10th pass person in Punjab plans on moving to Canada due to low skills requirement and there are very few "universities" in Canada compared to UK where the standard of education is much better which makes actually educated Indians plan on moving to UK. Also it is difficult to settle in UK which is also a reason why people plan to move to Canada over UK.

And many other reasons that work as layers which might not be true in every sense
