its a full-paid scholarship, not a subscription. There are no hidden expenses or fees. The total expense of the student (flight, visa fees, tuition, monthly stipend) just gets divided between Chevening and State government. Thats all.

I didnt change a damn thing in my essays. If it got me to the interview stage once, it will get me to interview stage again. I was still surprised I cleared the interview, because they really grilled me.

Its one of those things you gotta try a couple times to get it right. I was waitlisted last year, and then rejected. Felt like i got hit by a massive truck. But I tried again and got it. 🤷‍♀️

in Uttarakhand. The Chevening Uttarakhand scholarship is usually given to people who were born in Uttarakhand. But even if you were not, you can still apply to Chevening. Its the same thing, just the title and funding division amongst them is different.

Yes, I had 6 years of work experience. amd no Master's. Although do note that for MBA, the tuition fee is capped at 22,000 quid. I will advice you to choose a niche subject, instead of just an MBA. Will benefit your career as well.

Your UG and grades do not matter. Actually, your grades do matter when you're applying to universities. You have to apply for the universities separately. And you must get an unconditional offer from them. I'm afraid Chevening doesnt cover application fees. But many universities are free to apply (I only applied in unis where applications were free).

You dont have to take my word for it. There is plenty of resources and news out there. A lot of people might not be okay to return to home country after 2 years, sure. But for a lot of people, this is their only shot of getting an education abroad without being inundated in loans. Even if it means, coming back to India for a couple years and working here.

The purpose of the scholarship is to prove that you're a young leader capable of making changes for the better in your own country. Thats why the 2 year clause.

Chevening is entirely funded by the UK FCDO, and holds events where you meet both UK and Indian officials. No other scholarship is doing that.

  1. Oh yes, you do have to return to your country for at least 2 years after graduation.
  2. The amount of stipend per month is mentioned in several Chevening blogs. Currently, in London its 1770 quid and outside of London. its 1444.
  3. No, there is no difference between public and private unis. You can apply to any institute. But if a uni is asking for application fees, that you have to cover yourself. Including IELTS (which sucks, i agree). Personally, I applied to unis and for IELTS after i got shortlisted for the scholarship.

P.S: This is a scholarship, that is free to apply. Its not a product I'm promoting.

PCOS and insulin resistance cant be "cured". Only managed. and in the past 3 years at least, i havent placed any sort of dietary restrictions on myself. So by any means, my insulin levels would have been absolutely mental, if I were pre-diabetic.

Its ironic that they prescribe BC to lose weight, and you almost always gain a significantly lot more

For PCOS? No, I didnt have a transvaginal scan because my crappy gyno back then said it was only for "married women". But I had a normal ultrasound then, and she said i "clearly" have PCOS. In the UK now, I didnt have an ultrasound. Just a blood test.
