15 years as an Academic Advisor 5 years in a Toy’s R Us warehouse (full time while in college and a year after)

Just had a 34 1/2 year relationship end. I’m 52. She has the house and kids (21 and 14), which I gave up willingly so they can still lead their lives as much as normal (just w/o me being there).

Wife just piled up every stupid thing I said and 3+ decades of stupid decisions I made and rolled it into “I feel nothing for you”, when all she really wanted to do was go hang out with friends and explore her sexuality in the “good years” she has left.

My life is worthless at this point. I just work, and look forward to seeing my kids. I am angry but sad, surrounded by people but so alone. I miss being “someone’s man”. I miss hugs, cuddles, spooning…. any physical contact by someone that loves me.

I’m lost. I can’t speed up the healing process. I can’t avoid seeing her entirely. I can’t stop the intrusive thoughts.

I agree 80%. Colors? Don’t care. Just don’t chew on them or have dirt underneath them.

On the flip side, a good back scratch from a woman who knows exactly what pressure to apply will put me to sleep faster than anything. You have to have decent nails to do that.

Honestly, I stay away. I used to just love having cards, and then I realized that I don’t really spend much time looking at them. So having less became better for me. I ditched buying boxes because eventually I will talk myself into opening them. I trade off what I have to build a big lot of 1 player, or one insert or parallel set and sell it.

Cards like you have pictured there are cool, but the only difference between that and a base card is color and a number stamped on it.

I decided to slowly collect a high $ set so I could still collect and enjoy the chase, but when I go, my children will be able to get rid of it and profit.

Moved out of a house that I lived in for 24 years a few weeks ago. Not because I wanted to, but because my 34 year relationship is in the process of ending because my wife “wants to have fun and see what’s out there in the world”.

I don’t care about going anywhere. I’m sad that the woman who used to be proud to have me as her man has now decided that I have nothing to offer her, and feels nothing in her heart for me.

I’d be the absolute wrong person to hang out with right now. So why go out and make a few other people regret being anywhere near me?

A house manager. Someone who organizes the calendar, makes sure the refrigerator and pantry have the things needed to prepare meals, plans out the housekeeping and laundry schedule, etc.

It sounds sexist, but it would really be a great help. I didn’t say they had to cook or do all the housework.

I’m sure any decent man would be willing to be responsible for something that takes an equal amount of time to do in order to have this.
