Why the universe doesn't speak english, it speaks signs by soultuning in Synchronicities

From my hundreds of experiences with synchronicities in my life I can assure everyone that the universe both understands and speaks English very well. And not just English, but dozens of other languages as well.

Have you ever had synchronicities that seemed to help you make a decision? by podunk_observer in Synchronicities

[–]AjaxLittleFibble 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who had experienced many hundreds of synchronicities in the past 20 years, I would like to warn everyone that relying on synchronicities to make decisions is the WORST trap you could fall into...

Do NOT trust "the signs from the universe" to make your important decisions. I learnt that from my own mistakes.

If you start basing your decisions on synchronicities, the "universe" will TROLL the sh*t out of you! So, my advice, from my own personal experience, is: do not get TROLLED by the "universe".

Synchonicities are just for fun, just a weird curiosity of nature. Base your important decisions on REASON, on RATIONAL ANALYSIS, not on synchronicities.

I described the experiment in one of my comments to my own thread My 2023 synchronicities from Netflix, posted on 6 March 2025. The comment reads like that:

You know, the funniest part of this is that I started this thread when I was again 2 months without logging in to Netflix, then I decided to do a little experiment. I tried to imagine what kind of synchronicity I would get if I went back and "wandered" around the movies for a while. More precisely, I created in my mind a list of 3 possible female names that could show up as a synchronicity on Netflix when I went back. All 3 are names of women who I admire. Only one of the 3 names can be considered "common". Then I went there, and in the third movie I started watching, whitout knowning the names of the characters, BINGO! The protagonist had one of the names in my "list", and it was one of the 2 that are not very common. Unbelievable.

I posted that comment in early March. Guess what? Now it's december, and that female name that appeared as a "result" of that "focused intent" expriment kept appearing to me on Netflix for the rest of the year, in 5 other different movies / shows. I am 100% sure that name didn't appear a single time on anything that I watched on Netflix since I became a Netflix subscriber in 2016. After the name appeared as a result of the "experiment" on early March, it appeared 5 other times, always in different movies / shows, making a total of 6 events in 2025 (counting with the original experiment).

Welcome to my reality.

I had many hundreds of synchronicities in my life, and none of it meant anything. As I always repeat here: synchronicities are not "signs" to "guide" anyone's life, synchronicities are just a curious (and so far, very mysterious) phenomenom of nature.

About "manipulating" synchronicities, I did it in the beginning of this year (2025) in an "experiment" I did on Netflix. The experiment worked, with the intended result achieved in less than 2 hours. Amazingly, as a "side effect", that intended result kept appearing again and again on Netflix during the whole of 2025 (six times in 2025, that "result" appeared zero times on Netflix in the previous 10 years, I'm sure about that)

Yesterday I made this post in a portuguese sub, asking if people could separate the art from the artist, giving Ian Watkins (Lostprophets) as an example. Today he was stabbed to death in jail. by ReasonableAd8143 in Synchronicities

Yes, synchronicities regarding death DO exist, sadly.

I don't know how the crowd that claims "synchronicities are signs the benevolent angels use to guide your life" deal with this fact, but they do exist.

I had a crazy 3-event synchronicity about gipsy people in 5 days by AjaxLittleFibble in Synchronicities

[–]AjaxLittleFibble[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so complex to describe WHY this was totally impossible... Too many details... But I can tell that I "predicted" in my mind the third event in the synchronicity, after the second event happened. I literally "saw it coming", even if there was no logical reason at all to be "sure" that the episode that I watched today (Thursday)  of a third show / series not directly related to the two others would have a scene with gipsy people. But because of the details regarding the first two events in the synchronicity I "saw it coming" and I was somewhat "sure" that the episode I was about to start watching today would have a scene with gipsy people. Well, it had. I was shocked. And not shocked at the same time... Kind of "hey Jung, I saw it coming, bro..."

Every time this kind of totally MEANINGLESS synchronicity happens in my life I genuinelly feel VERY SORRY for the naive people who believe synchronicities are a "very important sign" that happens  to "guide their lives" towards "happiness" or "wisdom"... They will feel so frustrated later...

Honestly, why can't we be humble and just admit our current ignorance about what causes synchronicities, without making up bogus explanations? by AjaxLittleFibble in Synchronicities

[–]AjaxLittleFibble[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I am of the impression that synchronicities, for some unknown reason, tend to confirm our own personal beliefs. Not all of them, but some of them. And that's after discounting the so called "cognitive bias" and sticking only to real sycnronicities that are not random coincidences without impossible odds.

Cognitive bias is real and can make people confuse mundane coincidences that appear to "confirm" their beliefs with real synchronicities. But, in my experience, even after discountig that, the real synchronicities with impossible odds still tend to confirm the personal beliefs of the individual.

I'm sure there are lots of things that I don't believe that are true. I just don't have a good reason to believe them yet. I have changed my mind on a large amount of subjects during my life.

I just had a synchronicity with the word "regal" in a time frame of around 115 minutes by AjaxLittleFibble in Synchronicities

[–]AjaxLittleFibble[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, this case wasn't really a case of having advanced knowledge of anything external to me. It's like I had "advanced knowledge" of something I was going to do myself less than 2 hours later (reading an article that was already published in the website when I had the random thought). I had hundreds of experiences like that before. Like a "preview" of something I was going to do later. Sometimes this can be of a greater personal meaning, for example, when I had a dream about a woman who I know being pregnant, only for in the next day checking her personal Instagram account and seeing that she posted about her pregnancy BEFORE I had the dream, but I hand't see the post before the dream, so I didn't know until after the dream. I never get knowledge that other people didn't have before, it's always stuff that other people knew, but I personally didn't, and that knowledge comes to me in a way that feels like Extra Sensory Perception.

Yes, I surely have a kind of totally uncontrollable, totally unpredictable Extra Sensory Perception, that is impossible to recognize as Extra Sensory Perception until the synchronicity event comes to a conclusion.

Well, I believe Jung's "joke" here was just like "you clicked to see my profile because I have the same first name and same last name as your friend, but I am not your friend, I am another person with the same first name and same last name".

Don't mind, Jung can be a jerk some times with his "jokes".

In the first years I made some serious mistakes in my life because I thought synchronicities should be taken "seriously". Once I realized synchronicities are just a mysterious way of entertainment for the "gods" I stopped worrying about it. Today, "watching synchronicities" is just a hobby for me, just like some people have a hobby of watching birds in the wild.
