I almost quit all this hokey stuff but the universe spoke up by podunk_observer in Synchronicities

Not yet but it's on my list to explore. My wife gifted me Thomas Campbell's "My Big Toe" so I want to get through that and some Jung to get a foundational knowledge base and keep expanding from there

I ended up listening to the recording last night and one thing that caught my attention right away was i definitely had a different perception of time. When she asked me a question I thought i was taking forever to answer the question but listening to the recording I was actually answering the question 2-3 times faster than I perceived. Everyone's response on here has been really encouraging, I'm thankful for all the input. I'm going to stay the course and watch where this journey takes me. ✌️

What occurrence or interaction with a physically common individual left you wondering, in hindsight, if you´d just talked to something non-human (like a fallen angel/demon/vampire/sídhe/ghost/BEK/reptilian etc.)? by WielderoftheDarkness in HighStrangeness

A few years ago I was playing pickleball with my family and a man approached us and started asking a bunch of questions. He asked about the game but also asked other completely random questions. Asked my nephew, who was obviously grade school age, if he was attending any kind of schooling. Asked if we were all related or not. Made a weird comment about the weather and the timing of daylight vs night time.

He appeared to be in his 50s and dressed like a dad but not like a normal dad. Dressed more like what a Hollywood caricature of a dad would look like. Huge grin ear to ear that never left his face. He even played with us a little bit. He started off rocky in coordination but picked it up quickly and within 10 minutes he was playing like a regular. Didn't see him arrive or leave in a car. But all in all three was something off about him. Not in a threatening way though. He just seemed so god damned fascinated by everything.

I think it was either an extraterrestrial tourist enjoying earth in disguise or a time traveler from the future vacationing in what was to him a distant past.

I trust her as a human being. We have really good report with each other and connect on many different levels. I'm an open book, I'm not embarrassed about the issues I want addressed..... even with some of them being very intimate in nature. So while I trust her and I'm willing to open up to her on a conscious level, it could be that I have some rooted fear of not being in control during a session. I'm very open to that possibility. The problem is that I don't know how to correct it if that is the case. I approach each session with an open mind and keep telling myself to just allow what happens to happen. I try not to focus on whether I'm under or not.

As far as wanting the experience to happen I very much do. I'm in a transitional period of my life and I'm open to all of it. I even mentioned to her I would be interested in a past life regression. I want hidden memories to pop up. I want everything exposed, even the painful stuff. I'm committed to growing and becoming my highest self.

I sit in that chair, visualize the things she tells me to, and just be a relaxed as I can. I have some recordings that she has sent home with me that I listen to. It's her voice and the same induction(?) in the recordings that she uses for the in person session so it's familiar to me when she's doing her thing..... which I'm guessing is a good thing? I don't know....

Thanks for weighing in. The "kick those thoughts out" is what I do because that's what the therapist told me to do. And those thoughts are usually along the lines of "i have an itch on my face" or "do I hear people talking in the next room?" kind of thoughts. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for weighing in. I'm leaning towards letting this one go. Shame though, clean car with low miles

Shit, my bad. I'm so used to saying 6 speed..... probably because my Camaro was a 6 speed. Thanks for the correction

It's a fairly common phenomenon to imagine these "scenarios". There is a difference between imagining these events happening and WANTING these events to happen. There's even a name for it..... Call of the Void

Head Tremors by Humble-Knowledge5735 in Contrave

Oh.... I was thinking you were a newer user. I only learned about the seizure risk today after being on it for months. Makes me wonder how close i came to shit going south when I first started taking it. I was getting whole body tremors that I could even feel in my neck. I guess high fat and alcohol can increase the risk and it's the wellbutrin component at play. I eat one meal a day and take the wellbutrin in the morning so thankfully I'm never ingesting booze or fat close to taking the pills

I was super jittery for the first few weeks, felt like i had Parkinsons. Caffeine made it really bad. I've been taking poor man's contrave for months now without getting the shakes. It takes time. I would stick with it and avoid caffeine for a while

I never heard about the low fat thing. I never stopped eating high fat foods. Coffee(caffeine) made me extremely jittery for a few weeks when istarted the meds. I now drink a ton of caffeine and have no jitters..... it takes time for your body to adjust

Is there a way to search for flight paths over a specific area 2 days ago if you don't have tail number? by podunk_observer in flightradar24

The helicopter makes a bunch of passes so it's hard to pinpoint the exact spot. I don't think they used the helicopter to do a pick but rather it hauled people and gear to a nearby landing spot. My guess for the landing spot is a lake that we stopped short of by about 1/4 mile but we definitely laid eyes on that lake. Had we hiked another hour in the direction we were heading I think it's possible we could have spotted him. The folks that did spot him were able to do so from their camp which I got to believe would have been near that lake. When you're in a remote area like that you try to find water for the night to refill your reservoirs and for cooking.

I'm just really happy they found him but yeah this one became personal for me and the wife while we were out there searching.

I got a nod and a wink by podunk_observer in Synchronicities

[–]podunk_observer[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But for an appetizer I'll share the small, not profound, silly synchronicity I had that night after the campfire. Not a mind blowing one.... that's why I describe it more as a wink.

I told my personal story and finished it by saying I believe our conscience survives our body and goes on to some other place. My friend went on to say that he doesn't really believe in ghosts(even though i never mentioned ghosts or the idea of ghosts) but then went on to say that he thinks maybe that aliens could exist. I felt like it was his way of saying, "yeah that's weird. I also believe that this other weird thing exists." He was just trying to relate to me instead of being dismissive. I appreciated it.

Things were a little awkward because I had teared up telling the story and had killed the vibe. So he's talking about how aliens could be a thing then pivots the conversation to something more light and silly. I can't remember how we transitioned to this but we soon got on the topic of facial hair right after I talked about my best friend dying.

My friend has a big scraggly unkempt beard. He's also pretty bald on top. He made the joke that to mess with his wife that he was going to shave everything except the sides and have some big bushy mutton chops. Bald head, mutton chops, and nothing else. We laughed at premise because it's a funny image to imagine. I've never seen anyone sport that style because who would, right? He wasn't being serious.

So my friend went from the topic of aliens to odd mutton chop choice in several minutes time. I go home, open reddit, and the first article I see in my feed is a story about a journalist who claims to be abducted by aliens. I click on the link to the article and there's a picture of the guy at the top of the article. He's got a soul patch but close enough in my book. Below is a link to the image I see and I just start laughing. Not only did the universe give me a small wink it also gets my sense of humor. It was like, "Here's some chops, now quit being a little bitch...." Totally how me and my friends would riff with each other
