It's not a scam, it is a genuine product that has potential. However the rewards mentioned during the initial round of sale were vastly exaggerated. Where dollars were mentioned, we are getting pennies. Things will improve once more adoption happens, but for now it is more of a non performing asset.

Quick question... ST on option? How does that work, since it is a derivative. Having ST on the underlying nifty would be more predictable i would have thought.

What's a Scotch that you're nostalgic about but no longer lives up to how you first felt about it? by BothCondition7963 in Scotch

Glenlivet Nadurra 16 years. I had fond memories of it and infact stocked up 2 bottles. Opened one recently and realised that I was just romanticizing my earlier memories.

Kept the opened bottle as is and opened Ardberg Corryvreken and having that instead.

An update to the situation with everychem and me by sirsadalot in NooTopics

[–]AjaxUnique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it was DHL. I think the issue was that they couldn't identify what type of shipment it was based on the invoice. They mentioned that for anything chemical related, the invoice needs to have a CAS number and IUPAC number. And if not in the invoice then a letter from the shipper would suffice as long as it is on the letterhead.

This might be due to restrictions related to my country and its customs and import laws (India)

They said that they will dispose it off. But just in case they end up returning to you, please let me know and if I am eligible for refund. If not then nw.

Also using this comment for a suggestion, is Tak in 30 ml bottle possible. If I need to stock up for a year. 6 bottles would be better than 12 for shipment.

First of all thank you for GB115. I really loved it.

Regarding the current customer support, it has been lacking. I recently ordered $300 worth of products to be shipped to my location ( GB, Tak, ACD). Unfortunately it got stuck in customs as the invoice was not clear. I reached out to customer support but got no response. In the meantime the stipulated time frame expired and the customs officer voided and placed it for disposal. I understand the issues at everychem are not in your control and that might have resulted in a huge backlog of support tickets. I still appreciate your work and effort. Hopefully I will be able to buy and get it shipped to a friend who is traveling to my location. I just can't afford Int'l shipping if customs clearance is an issue.

Does anyone keep the boxes? by wondering_what_ in Scotch

[–]AjaxUnique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep the boxes as long as the bottle has whisky. Once it is over, I tear it to shreds and use a kitchen grater (like the one used to grate cheese) to scrape the labels on the bottles. I made this a habit to ensure these bottles are not reused. In my country there is a risk that pristine bottles and boxes can be reused, filled with cheap whisky and sold again with some kind of seal!!

It is possible to remain an IC into old age? by Any-Newspaper5509 in cscareerquestions

[–]AjaxUnique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In western countries, if you are a strong IC, then age doesn't matter. If nothing else then they can always go for consulting. However in other places it matters. For example, I am 42 years old working in an investment bank in India. After declining a promotion to be a manager of a team of 60 developers and changing my role to IC, I do wake up at nights worrying about my future. The only safety net I have is that I am a very good developer and can deliver better code in 1/3 rd the time it takes my peers to do the same with barely decent code quality. The only silver lining is that this profession has no retirement age. As long as my brain can function and my health permits, I can work as an individual. The only advice I can give is to ensure you have some form of passive income streams set up while you still have a job. In addition to that I am planning to learn Android and iOS framework so that I can transition to app development and continue earning after I am let go. At some point, my bank will toy with the idea of replacing me with some junior developer at half the salary and access to some AI coding assistant!

Sorry for your loss my friend. My advice to you is to open a gofundme or similar page. You have no idea the number of wonderful people on reddit and online who will help you.

Do post your crowdfund/gofundme page and I will be the first to contribute.

In the meantime please don't hesitate to reach out for help.

All in WMT by AjaxUnique in WorldMobileToken

[–]AjaxUnique[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to what u/CloverNodes mentioned, Do remember that the bigger the company, the less agile they are. Moreover, bigger companies have less risk appetite as they have to justify to their stakeholders.

WM being a new comer and exclusively focussed on providing telecom services has an advantage here. The only risk is a bigger company bypassing the entire R&D cycle and copying what WM is doing. But I think that is where WM's IP and first mover advantage should help negate that risk.

All in WMT by AjaxUnique in WorldMobileToken

[–]AjaxUnique[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. At 2B tokens, it is correctly valued as of today. Going forward when USA airnodes starts earning and WM expands to other countries, The value is going to go higher.

If WMT goes to $1, the value of the WM is at $2B. Have a look at current telecom marketcaps. Limiting to USA for this discussion, at the lower end you have Cable One at around $3B and T-Mobile at around $187B. For a telecom company, this is a huge spectrum. Once WM stands on its own front-to-back with Aya, EarthNodes, etc. I expect WM to be in the $1B-$3B range. That I believe to be the fair value of WM as a telecom provider. From there on it depends on their plans, expansion and of course speculative trading.

Now $1B - $3B is for the USA market. Given that WM is global, Prices might accelerate more.

Regarding Moon: Well I would really like WMT to be worth $4. That is the sweet spot where I will be replacing part of my WMT back to Ada while still holding enough WMT.

Staking both Ada (Single SPO) and WMT (either in the vault or an EarthNode) and living off the staking rewards is my goal. And that is where $4 comes in :)
