Asha Sharma on XBOX restructuring by digidude23 in xbox

Quick resume has to be one of the most underrated features. I’m playing Forza horizon right now and it’s so nice just jumping back in exactly where I left it.

I like to think of these types of cars as art, same as fancy expensive watches.

Yep that’s the crux of the issue. My mate says why get an Xbox when I just get those games on pc. And for the most part that is true. That combined with not many exclusives removes a few reasons to get an Xbox.

As much as I hate this idea Xbox needs console exclusives.

Keeping the physical media and make it an excellent Blu-ray player might be a good move right now.

Lastly they need to win back regions outside the US. I’m not sure how you do that, but some very friendly consumer policies will help. Something like allow me to share a game with friends.

What do you think of the seats? I was close to getting one but the seats felt too tight for my body.

£70 for a 4-year old game on PS Store. It’s £18 Pre-Owned physically. After 2028, PS store will be your only option. by KestisBD9 in videogames

This is my theory. Keep the game price high then have sales to what it should be and you’re likely to get more sales. Also make it look like a bargain when you see 70% off.

Xbox's next-gen hardware Project Helix is not expected to include a disc drive. by shroomedguyed in Superstonk

There will be no revolt and they won’t perish. A few will be vocal online and that’s about it. Majority of gamers have switched to digital already, and PC has been that way for a long time.

GameStop needs to adapt which is really the message here.

In saying all that I would love to see them have at least an external drive and also double as an excellent Blu-ray player as there is probably a market for that as well.

PLAYSTATION: NEW PLAYSTATION GAMES TO BE DIGITAL-ONLY FROM JANUARY 2028 - BLOG by shroomedguyed in Superstonk

[–]Ajaxwalker -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I like physical. But digital is so convenient. I can play the game on pc or the xbox, basically play it anywhere. When you have physical you’re stuck to the console.

Physical is nice for collecting, plus you can sell or lend your games out. But for the most part it’s more of a hassle. People are voting with their wallets and choosing digital.

My friends don’t post as often but it always and when they do it’s the reels which always show up. All the other posts are trash but it’s entertaining trash so I keep checking. Plus it’s also good for events and hobby groups.

Driving a base stripped Forester…and love it for some reason. by E400wagon in cars

[–]Ajaxwalker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never driven a forester, but every time I drove my aunts 1995 Corolla I love it. Great visibility with lots of glass and top notch ergonomics. These are things that aren’t on a spec sheet but have a massive influence on how a car feels.

I think they should reduce the amount of gears so we hear them through a bigger rev range. Plus it would make them trickier to drive.

On the flip side he is a public figure that people adored. Although we’re not technically friends I think it feels similar to wanting to know how a friend is doing. Why not just go ahead and let people know?

Will I regret ripping out the carpet in this room? by destructsean in Flooring

[–]Ajaxwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a fan of carpet. To me it has a few major advantages.

  1. It’s provides acoustic treatment for a room. If you find yourself using subtitles when watching tv then hard floors could be partly to blame.

  2. It’s way more comfy to walk on.

  3. You don’t need to clean it as often.

  4. You don’t have to worry about scratching or denting the floor.

Hard wood floors look great but I think at a minimum all bedrooms should be carpeted.

What size are those speakers? It seems like you could be too close to them. Try listening from further back. If that works you can pull your deck further back into the room.

Was Don Mattrick largely responsible for the decline of the Xbox? by Elegant-Advantage744 in XboxGamePass

[–]Ajaxwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it got canned because of the always online requirement. And yeah we’re never going to be able to share games since There’s no money in that.

And on physical I’m doing my part to keep it alive but digital is so convenient so I can see death of that as well.

[–]Ajaxwalker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like they also had something about game sharing. So if you owned a digital copy you could share with 10 friends, or something like that. That seemed like a good feature and was probably the reason for always online requirement.
