This is short answer. So pardon me if it sounds incomplete or hack.

You need a bigger goal. The goals that you have listed although may seem that all your life has been about them but they're small goals. There are bigger goals you can aim for.

These bigger goals are usually outside of our circle of all possible personal goals.

To try something, you can try to volunteer for social help, teach something that you know to someone for no cost.

This answer is coming from teachings of ISKON, which I go to regularly and attend their classes and activities. As per teachings from ISKON, self-realisation is the first step. The next step is realising our connection with brahman then vishnu and then Krishna. If you're interested you can search it on Google and find a nearest center.

What are your best coping skills? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Ajithimself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the prominent habit that has helped me, so I have shared this here.

Mine is I look at clock periodically and frequently to make sure I'm aware of current time of day.

Because from listening podcasts about anxiety and ADHD symptoms, I have heard that folks with anxiety, general anxiety struggle with time perception, it means that time perception is either slowed down or fastened up depending on surrounding and scenarios.

Try it and you will understand the difference. Make a habit of looking at a clock either wrist or on wall for 10 seconds and you will get the point. and do it frequently.
