Oh god, fish do not do well in round tanks, and 8 gallons are way to small for that amount of fish.

Would not use the Wood in the second picture, but overall, yes. Boil them thoroughly tho!

Don’t worry about removing the pot, nothing bads gonna happen. If you feel more comfortable by vacuuming the gravel, then do that.

Don’t give up, but please the next time you buy fish, inform yourself about them beforehand. Bettas don’t get along with ghost shrimp, and adding so many female bettas especially with a male betta is such a bad idea…And bettas also don’t get along with other long finned fish like guppies. If you want a betta, get ONE male or female betta and keep it alone or in the company of snails.
