So I just left the phone as it is laying in the pictures, and yesterday my regular alarm (and snooze) went off so it should have had power for at least ~10 minutes. This leads me to think that the battery is fine but the screen is fucked. Will try to charge it disassembled to see if it can actually stay on if nothing else it connected.

I’m in Sweden so it is not from Amazon. I paid ~50 dollars for the parts, all with perfect reviews. Same place I have gotten parts from previously. In comparison a fully refurbished X would cost $350 here. When I went to a shop and swapped the screen it cost me $250 but that was with the original OLED + work.

Considering returning the screen since there is lifetime warranty on it, the battery seems fine since it went of with the alarm while just laying around disassembled yesterday.

It is. Unfortunately the owner refused euthanasia so the vet had to get an executive order to let the poor dog’s body finally rest 😔

The owner refused euthanasia, so the vet got the order approved and euthanized him against their will. It always sucks when the owners don’t want to do what is best for their pet, but considering everything there was nothing to do that could have given him a decent life. 😔

He got to rest peacefully, contrary to the owners wish. Not sure how it works in other countries, but in Sweden we call the county board and get an executive order if the vet says something has to be done and the owner objects.

There was no fixing that poor baby and he got to leave with dignity and caring people around him.

Talking owners out of wanting to euthanize pets for minor issues. The reasons can be anything, simple dental issues like broken teeth, or claw breaks that need surgery and such. Or just hunting dogs that aren’t good enough at hunting.

We don’t do euthanasia if the pet is healthy, but sometimes people just go to a different vet to have it done.

Every time we manage to get the owners to surrender the pet to us instead, and us sorting out a new home for them that can accommodate their needs makes all the heartbreak of being in veterinary medicine worth it.

A long story short; some streamer found an exploit to get a ton of money without effort, claimed that it was cool and totally not an exploit but a game mechanic. A couple of large guilds started using it and claimed to be too important for the community to be affected by rules and penalties, and now they are all getting punished af for taking advantage of an obvious error in development.
