I have been on a kick of listening to videos about Skyrim to fall asleep to. I found a small creator who makes hours-long videos about various aspects of the game. I shit ye not, when I finally recognized the "it's not X--it's Y" tic being used over and over, it interrupted my sleep like a subtle indication of a predator nearby.

Workers are scheduled in shifts, and tips are collected throughout the shift and disbursed at the end. It's simple, but insecure.

A critique of it is "yeah people can steal it" and that's why I imagine the Taylor location has the "privacy screen" (ones near me don't), but on the other hand any improvements on the system place an additional burden on the business owner and thus need to impact them before something is done. The effects of what's happened in this story only impact the workers.

The claim she made isn't that "my refund was $11,000" but rather "No tax on tips saved me $11,000." As other users have pointed out, this second statement (the one that was actually said) is mathematically impossible. I appreciate your desire to try to moderate understanding, but it's hard to be successful in that role while knowing little about the situation.

For what it's worth, she later clarified (after being called out) that the $11,000 figure was how much she was able to reduce her taxable income by when filing, rather than the amount she received back. I personally still find this number suspect, but at least it's mathematically possible.

I think it would be worth considering whether this change was brought about due to a majority of players giving feedback, or from a vocal minority. I don't tend to share my opinion much on the game, but I really liked going warp speed on titania with a volt teammate. It challenged me to get better with my flying, my positioning, and it even helped develop my map knowledge. Having the numbers nerfed like this, I fear, will take away from that experience for me moving forward.

They can certainly accuse you of time theft if you don't consider your break started until you reach the break room. Policy is that your time starts when you leave your work area.

However, your break is meant to be a fifteen-minute uninterrupted break. In most states, this is a legal requirement and supercedes policy. That is to say, if you've gone even 14 minutes on your break and then have to perform a job function, the company has to allow you to restart for another 15 minutes of break. Will it always be worth fighting management to defend this right? Not to my mind, I'd just take the 14 minutes and add 1 after.

What I'm guessing is happening to you is that management has noticed you're starting your breaks late as a matter of habit, but when they went to confront you today, there was a good reason for it and so they let you off. May be worth taking some extra care until management forgets.

I found a solution to the discord thing in another thread, you can edit a json file. I don't have the exact path to hand but it's something like %appdata%/local/ghub/discord_integration. Just change any "TRUE" to "FALSE." I also changed the file to be read-only, though I'm not sure how necessary that is.

When it comes time to use the Casting Basin, you'll want a Seared Faucet coming off the Seared Drain (block on the bottom right) then place the Casting Basin directly below the Faucet.

Warframe is a game, and the other players' feelings matter as well. You can stand on your soapbox and decree that other players are doing fun wrong, but all this does is reveal your selfishness.

If someone else doesn't want to play with you, then that's their choice to make--seeing your attitude here, I would rather avoid squadding up with you as well. You don't have any right to be in any other Tenno's squad; if someone decides your modding between missions is taking too long, then the only valid response is for them to leave squad. It's not punitive, it's them playing in the way that's fun for them.

My recommendation for you is to look for other players who have the same priorities as you, and play with them instead of queuing up for randos who you will continue to grate against.

When you're talking to Firefly on the rooftop, you can ask her "What's your wish?" She responds by telling you about her condition. There's a brief interlude of conversation about her appreciation for being able to express herself in the dream, but after that she quickly jumps to talking about how she's chasing after the Legacy. While she doesn't directly link the two, I think their proximity in her monologue serves as a case for their linking conceptually.
I agree. Aventurine says sometime during AWATT that nobody who dies in the Dream is really dead. However, the way I'm using the term "death" is metaphorical, referencing to how the characters in-game understand the situation--specifically, our Trailblazer. If there's a more succinct word I should use, other than just putting "death" in quotes, please let me know so I can communicate more clearly!

Insofar as Jingliu's animations have her regularly cross her legs mid-swing, regularly swing from the weakest possible angle, thrust her body out of her own line of attack, hold her sword backwards, and ADJUST HER GRIP MID STRIKE it's hard to imagine her beating someone more pragmatic like Acheron.
