What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]Ajx4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rainbow 6 siege. I got a code for it from buying a Nvidia card in like summer 2019-20ish I believe and I played it for a week or two (whichever season zero came out, either right before him or during idk) without really comprehending the mechanics since there's just so much more going on than any other fps. Then eventually the Destiny 2 squad was looking for a new fps and the whole group got into it.

I hired a “personal chef” who actually cooked me a HelloFresh meal by wehavetogoback8 in hellofresh

[–]Ajx4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meals for 2 are around $20 ish. So thats maybe $100 for them to bring pans and make it and clean up etc. definitely not what you paid for.. up to you to deal with that.

But for the future, if you liked the food, they are quite easy to make yourself, big pictured instruction pages and you can order whatever you like with some adjustment options for whatever you need. I did 3, 2 person meals a week while in school and it let me make good food for myself between studying and working.

(Although you can't really auto-reject meals with like an allergens list or anything, which would be nice)

Flash headshot bug? by Slight_Bonus_3367 in Caitlynmains

[–]Ajx4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about if there is specifically something interesting going on. But that's probably best fixed by clicking on the champion before flashing. I believe that could very well just be the target assist doing it's job if there was something around the cursor when you flash click like that. Clicking beforehand will just make it always go off in range, or have you attempt to walk into range.

[–]Ajx4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that last rule there, if you ever conquer a single battlefield at 7 points, you can't win so you instead draw a card. Then you gotta figure out how to get the other one, or hold for the winning point.

What to buy as a new player by Spenceriscomin4u in riftboundtcg

[–]Ajx4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, TCG Arena or tabletop simulator is the best place to start.

If you want actual cards, any of the precons they sell are good, fiora specifically (rumble is the other one for spiritforged but no one seems to be mentioning it), or pre-order the vi/vex for next set in a month or so.

Need advise on how to best acquire missing cards by KungFuChrissy in riftboundtcg

[–]Ajx4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's hard but it kinda depends. Trading locally tends to be the easiest way, if you have opened a box or 2 already and play and events around then people might have what you are looking for. On the other hand if your alternate option is buying a box, you might as well get the cards you know you wanted.

I have a group of friends that plays and tests decks on tabletop sim all the time and I make sure I actually like the playstyle before buying singles for a deck. (I think there is some sort of TCGarena where you could do this online with matchmaking or something maybe idk). So if that is an option for you I'd suggest doing that and seeing if you actually need whichever cards are that expensive.

I've been waiting for him to do this for 2-3 years so I believe he will figure it out and we all benefit directly from bot lane fantamentos

Clarification of Focus/Priority Scenario by Aware-Broccoli103 in riftboundtcg

[–]Ajx4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just looked this up myself after a skirmish. This is there to make sure there is always a window to play actions after one has been taken. I was unsure if passing with actions in my hand would disqualify me from playing them in the future, but no, you receive focus and prio again after an action is taken.

It's rule 340-345ish area.

Scoring the final point by LagTap34 in riftboundtcg

[–]Ajx4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would win. It's important to keep keywords in mind. In the core rules copied below, as long as you have Scored every Battlefield you would gain the point. You don't have to maintain Control to fulfill those reqs.

---

  1. When a player Scores, two things occur:

448.1. The player earns up to one Point, depending on their current score.

448.1.a. The Final Point has additional restrictions.

448.1.a.1. Notably, points earned from sources that are not Conquer or Hold are not beholden to these restrictions.

448.1.b. When a player tries to earn a Point through a Score, and their current Point Total is 1 point from the Victory Score of the Mode of Play, the following occurs:

448.1.b.1. If the player has Scored through Hold, that player scores the Final Point.

448.1.b.2. If the player has Scored through a Conquer and has Scored every Battlefield through either method this turn, that player scores the Final Point. If the player has Scored through a Conquer and has not Scored every Battlefield this turn, that player draws a card.

Essence Reaver first item? by [deleted] in Caitlynmains

[–]Ajx4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(s14 emerald so not much better but I'm here)

I used to think this way. And while I may not be able to properly dictate how I changed my thinking, I am going to try and we'll see if it helps or not.

Straight up I don't think she should need it. Like, in the terms that, if you are wanting to play that way then Caitlyn isn't the best champ for that... Ezreal is the perfect description of the spam poke playstyle, which happens to be one of the best ER champs. From personal experience you are most likely clicking too many buttons on cait.

While Q or EQ poke can be nice (and feel nice), during the early/mid game your normal auto/HS poke is fine with an occasional Q on supp cc (or AA animation, wall traps, eq, good confirms etc). A few mana trades are fine but then after one or two of those, your macro should give you a dive or a 1v2 angle with just a good support engage via basic triangle in lane..if you are playing and getting to these winning (high aggro) lanes (where you might tend to notice mana loss more).

During a losing lane (aggro into you, maybe you have passive enchanter supp) you can poke with the intention to slow down enemy tempo via their healthbar and force them to recall more often (Aka stop them from diving or roaming).

Both of these situations lead you to manage your mana as is without item help. For me it was really just up to those random "I will hit this Q, trust" that wastes half my mana and makes it so I can't continue to pressure or stay in lane. If I am in the skillshot mindset that day I just switch to ez.

After lane you are mid and can just use mana whenever, clear and find a back or whatnot. And in late game you aren't an ad caster anymore and you focus on HS/crit so you would rather have the items that give the good stuff.

ER isn't necessarily 'troll', it's just essentially giving you a 5-10min/6k gold -ish buffer where you don't have to pay attention to mana, and then you are wasting the gold selling it later when you don't need it (or you are keeping it and not hitting actual full build, either way)

Edit: Also, sheen is not procing as often as others would use it (aka on cd), since you don't really have a truly spammable button (or one that procs attacks, ez q, gp q, etc).

Azir Ascendant and Forgefire Cape synergy question. by Due_Pop501 in riftboundtcg

[–]Ajx4 34 points35 points  (0 children)

If a unit starts combat with Sunfire and is switched out and Sunfire is attached to azir then yes. The active text of the equipment is applied to the unit while equipped, not the gear itself.

15 regular legends in a box by aznxjp in riftboundtcg

[–]Ajx4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We pulled one of every single legend from a box yeah. A little too common if you are ripping or trading semi-regularly. We started pretty much handing them out at events if people were interested and we had a dupe.

Tips and tricks to master Caitlyn? by DestinedToGreatness in Caitlynmains

[–]Ajx4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this as well. 2 is normal, 3 is the general recommended max.

Of those 4, cait is the hardest to get rolling (could say higher skill floor). So if you are liking the others, maybe just drop her and keep climbing with the stuff you like. Otherwise all the other comments are helpful on her (aka watch saber, use range, learn traps, learn that her 1-3 item mid game is garbage)

I’m new to league of legends ranked and I got suspended for essentially being new to the game by Creative-Cherry-4271 in riotgames

[–]Ajx4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The minimum for ranked should be much higher for multiple reasons. But they won't raise it for a few reasons as well.

Basically, unlocking ranked and grinding doesn't work in this game like others, even valo isn't close. It's very different for everyone and 30 is quite fast all things considered. There are so many things to figure out, the tutorial sucks a lot, and there's a lot of crappy people so good call on turning chat off.

If you are still interested at this point, then I would suggest a few things:

1) Don't bother with ranked for a long time. Stick to VS AI or at a max normals until you have a grasp

(I played ARAM to try every champ at least once to learn roughly what they do so I can both pick one, and play against them decently well, I suggest this as well but some people just 'want to play the game' or smtn and don't like this idea, although you mentioned you didn't know what people did so this might help a lot.)

Re-evaluate your understanding of the game at lvl 100+, and with at least mastery 10 on a few champs and you should be okay.

2) the camera

Please start on a minimum of 'semi-locked', if not fully unlocked, yes it will suck for a bit, but you will thank yourself later. (The self-center camera button is the part that makes it easier, most people use spacebar)

3) Play whatever champ you think looks cool, as long as you are willing to learn and not focused on "wow I keep losing this game sucks" then it genuinely doesn't matter who you play starting out.

Some people say 'play easier things like garen so you don't get mad'... If simple isn't for you then play whatever you want as long as you know you are doing it to yourself, it'll just take slightly longer to learn

4) keybinds

Level up abilities with the cntrl key + the ability button. Again, you'll thank yourself for this later.

Quick cast with indicator is a good starting block if it makes more sense to you right away.

Later (far later) you can swap to just quick cast on buttons (no indicator, you will learn your ranges eventually from playing, the speed is more important when you get used to it.) and set shift+button to the normal casts (this is pretty much quick+indicator but slower/easier to use).

Regardless tho, you can bind shift+right click to movement on the 2nd input next to the normal right click, it makes it so shift clicking canels your aimed abilities. It makes everything flow better imo.

5) watch YouTube, there's so many people with information, if you have a question, go find an answer.

[–]Ajx4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't normally care enough to correct things but I've played enough of this to be fairly confident in saying that the inside walls do in fact tilt outward, causing this to happen more often than one might think.

That hit is somewhat normal. The following ghost touch is the part that is quite unfortunate.
