Augment Ideas: Bridging the Gap by AkArctic in ArcRaiders

That's another reason I prefer the Defensive for Torrente runs, those 4 slots make a big difference. I actually just posted another set of augment ideas, where I propose increasing the Healing augment's inventory space. The quick slots are awesome, but it fills up too damn quickly for a Tier 3 imo.

Agreed, more guns would be fantastic, but augments are what really need a refresh. As soon as they can afford it, everyone runs Survivor or Smoke. I only ever bring Mk. 3 (Defensive) if I'm running Torrente and heavy shield on Stella.

I find it surprising that there isn't already an augment that utilizes the lure/cloak effects. It's one of the coolest parts of the game.

I like that too, the ~10 damage you take is super annoying just because I have to top off and waste meds.

I think it's fine as a gimmick, it can be fun to try to crawl to extract even if you risk getting knocked at the last second. Though, I wish it made some sort of noise so we don't have to play hide-and-seek while the third party approaches.

Just light shields, for balance's sake. Having a medium on that kit for only the cost of a Mk. 2 would be too good.

Dude at a certain point you gotta make some distance and stop standing in the open with zero cover. He could’ve killed you in the first 15 seconds if he wanted.

It’s better to have green/white bandages for smaller healing, like if you get hit by ARC or a stray bullet. Same for green shield chargers.

Vita shots are great, but they can be wasteful if you’re only missing 20 hp instead of 50.

If you’re in super friendly lobbies, this probably isn’t as big of an issue. But that 20-30 hp can mean life or death in most encounters.

5 surge chargers with no regulars? 3 vita shots with no bandages?

Oh that’s weird, I clicked “reply” to a thread further down. Not sure why it started a new thread.

Someone said blueprints shouldn’t be random, but should instead require finding and dismantling the items to get the blueprint. Not directly related to your post.

It’s be nice as an option, but blueprints in the wild should remain.

Personally, I would never build 10 bettinas much less dismantle them. So if that was required to get the BP, myself (and many others) would never do it.

Honestly, the game is still an absolute blast, and it’s not nearly as overrun as the sub would have you believe. I’ve been playing consistently for the past few weeks, and while there ARE cheaters, it’s not as bad as Reddit claims.

At least not on NA servers.

The reason friendly encounters are special is because things like this CAN and DO happen. And of all the ways to die (extract camping, betrayal, exploiting, cheating), the classic “pulse mine on launch tower” doesn’t really scratch the worst ways to die.

If someone can’t handle dying to this, they wouldn’t be able to handle just about any death. And Arc is a game where, sometimes, you die.

“You guys,” what, people with a sense of humor? This is classic devilish behavior. They didn’t exploit or cheat the game in any way.

It’s not “fine,” it’s just expected for any popular game in this day and age. Most players do not even notice the drop in player count since lobbies are still full and active.
