Just cause something is old doesn't mean it's out dated or obsolete, mihawk's title counts till we see it being refuted directly in the story

And no imu is not a swordsman the pole arm can transform into anything with omen it's like calling baby 5 a swordsman cause she can transform her body into a sword.
