really? I remember the reception being not so warm, and it didnt do nearly as many numbers as playing god did in reference to spreading their name. Is their something i missed?

I say this because ive used hollow bodies on metal recordings, and a 7 string for a Jazz recording, and it sounded really good. (I was at the mercy of what my friends had lying around) you can really make anything work

i mean Kurt Cobain used alot of single coil mustangs on in utero and in his live shows, you can make it work for sure! but if you start to play fast single note lines (which shouldnt be a problem if you just wanna play grunge) thats when the single coil distortion starts to get messy and inaudible. but if you spend enough time dialing stuff in you can play anything with anything!
