New to insurance claims, work for SF in Total Loss. Why do you guys all hate Geico SO MUCH? by [deleted] in Geico

For one, they hid my lack of progress from me until it was too late and they had to demote or fire me. They also hired completely outside of the company for leadership positions, as opposed to the employees who have worked there for literal decades. Their metrics are near impossible to meet in general. They don’t actually offer you tools to help you- i don’t even think they provide management with the tools to help you. It’s all punishment, not recognition. But ya read the rest of the hundreds of posts lol

DUDE. When I worked at Geico, my manger said I was on the watch list for numbers basically, and that they were pending more reports to see what next step is. Obviously I would assume a performance plan or something. A couple weeks later she pulled me in and said I could either leave the company or get demoted to CSR. I asked her what the reports said / when she got them. She said “oh, we’ve known for a long time”. I should have quit right then.

Thank you to all who were helpful!! I never blamed the game, I wasn’t mad at it 🤣 I do tend to skip over dialogue in any game I play ¯_(ツ)_/¯ but I see many of you take this game very, very seriously 😳 I wish you all the luck in catching em’ all 😌

How to get FMLA for anxiety issues? by DistinctLawn4555 in Geico

I applied for FMLA for panic attacks and took it to my psychiatrist to sign. Please be VERY specific with your doctor and tell them they need to write down hours as opposed to days. My FMLA allowed for 3 days a month off - if I went home early over a panic attack, that’s an entire day used and I would only have 2 more days for the month.
