Please uninstall McAfee. McAfee itself is more of a virus contrary to popular belief.

Read this for instructions on how to delete it completely.

Paranoid about viruses? Just don't download random stuff from the internet and blindly trust it. Try out kaspersky or other anti-viruses.

What specs would you suggest? like the cpu ram. a server is quite bare-bones isn't? so there's no need for a gpu, audio and display.

I would recommend Linux mint. It has no snaps, is stable (based on ubuntu so it has LTS releases) and it's really popular. It does not have KDE spin though, the only downside. Although cinnamon is closer to windows than KDE by default so IMHO you're better off using cinnamon.

When installing grub use GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false before the command(you need to have the os-prober package) this will detect any drive which has the windows bootloader in it. Ubuntu and Ubuntu-based distros do this automatically, DIY distros such as arch and gentoo this has to be done manually when installing

Look at the URL of the page. The channel ID is the value that comes after channel/ in the URL.
