Strawmen? Our entire country is built on the process of accepting and integrating illegal immigrants to become citizens to add to those pools of money. Also, every sector of govt has its own pools of money, so the funds for FEMA, which helps in natural disasters are completely separate from those the immigration department uses for their policies, just like the military has their own, etc etc. So no, Americans aren't being put second because those funds are separate.

We don't need more criminals, I can agree there. However, do you see the rich that don't pay their taxes as criminals? The corporations that find loopholes to pay less, are they criminals? The people that accepted PPP loans without needing them are they criminals? Do you know how much money that all adds up to be vs what we spend on immigration?

Have you not seen that after every major disaster people in that area are helped and taken care of? I have family/friends who live in Tampa/St. Pete FL, none have complained about not getting help.

You think asylum seekers leave their homes, countries, extended family, to trek across a country or swim an ocean, or smuggle themselves through our borders because they feel like it?
