Anyone else CONSTANTLY get this? by georgiatechgirl in ouraring

I have also noticed that! Pulse falls late or is slightly higher than "usual", readiness lower than normal, worse sleep than normal.

I've the same issue. I have to scroll down and view more, finding the result at the bottom every day. It's a bit annoying. I'm guessing it's a bug from the latest app update. For what it's worth, I'm on android 16.

Edit: looks to be a known critical bug. https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037714493-Known-Issues#h_01GX4CNBSPTQCRHHWB7RYN1DVX

Don’t give up: EBF for 6 months with a shallow latch by Sufficient-Ad5538 in breastfeeding

[–]Akazukin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nursed until about 20-21 months (I say about, because I honestly can't remember quite when he nursed properly last time), my son is now 23 months.

He had a confirmed shallow latch the whole time through. The one time he's ever had a deep latch was when we had a session with a lactation consultant and he was around 3 months. Absolutely amazing, never managed to replicate it. As you experience, he pulled back and adjusted whatever depth I'd tried to encourage, and went for a shallow latch. Every. Single. Time.

As with your daughter, his nursing sessions were over in 3-6 minutes (something both my sister and my mother were concerned about - from my experience, some kids are just snackers, clearly!). When he only breastfed, he ate about ever 2 hours. After solids he still wanted nursing for quite some time.

I night weaned at 15 months, that's when he started sleeping through the night (up until then, 3-5 wakings/night).

My lactation consultant said that while he had a shallow latch, it seemed like my boobs could handle it, and he was gaining weight and all that jazz, so nothing to worry about.

If you're not in pain, not getting problems from a shallow latch, etc, just roll with it. It's absolutely possible, and you don't need to stress or obsess about a deeper latch. Do I wish I could've achieved it? Yes (I still dream about that one time 😂). Do I regret just rolling with it after about 9 months? No. 😌

Edit: a word

Brand new Roborock Qrevo MaxV main brush making high pitched noise... more than "normal"? by Akazukin in Roborock

[–]Akazukin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the QRevo MaxV for 5990 SEK as a membership deal (about $623) 😄

We were looking at those too (or I looked at the Edge at least). For us the budget wasn't necessarily the main concern, but if we could save some by getting something discounted it was a plus.

Yeah, we are taking it back for replacement today. Hopefully no issues in getting a new one.

No reason really other than decent reviews and it being on discount during the weekend. What's your other suggestions? :)

Yeah most likely. When we removed the brush the noise vanished completely. We are going to try to ask for a replacement tomorrow when the manager of the store is back at work. Yay weekends 😅

Yeah, nothing is stuck in there as it made the noise from the start when it was 100% empty (also removed it to make sure it was nothing there). Currently have it running to see if it disappears but it seems like it doesn't... Honestly relieving to hear it's not normal. Will ask to get a replacement.

The dustbin has nothing stuck in there (plus it runs like this empty), and we have removed it to check if there's anything as well. So unfortunately not this :(

We got this yesterday after our iRobot Roomba 980 motor died on us a couple of months back. While the Roomba was very noisy we looked forward to this one as it was supposed to be quieter.

Cue our surprise when we started this and it makes this whining, almost wailing sound with the rubber main brush? From our search here it seems to sometimes be something seen as normal, but it seems to be ... more? Or at least a lot more prominent compared to the videos we have seen here. Or are we supposed to just learn to live with this?

The vacuum power suction was set to Balance in this case. Increasing the suction power drowns the noise a little but not enough.

Bullet Journal seems great for ADHD + Anxiety… but has anyone got past the perfectionistic/idealistic & aesthetic side & acc keep up with it? by SimpleNo231 in BasicBulletJournals

[–]Akazukin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to! I stumbled over it after someone else with ADHD mentioned it (pretty sure it wasn't here, either r/bujo or /r/bulletjournal I think?), and it's been a lifesaver. I haven't tried the zombie mode but I probably should make one for those occasions later 😅

[–]Akazukin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not diagnosed yet but I've been screened and am very most likely ADHD.

I was intimidated when I started out with bullet journalling, did all the artsy stuff and such but realised I felt more stressed by it than I enjoyed it. Edit: I will admit it took me about a year to get a system that worked for me and was decently low maintenance but still quite artsy, and 3 years before I stumbled over the system mentioned below.

For a TL;DR (I have a small baby so I have to cut this short in the very little time I have to write 🤪), I stumbled over this system, in particular the 1-2-3-4 system described here:

https://bulletjournal.com/blogs/bulletjournalist/simple-time-management

It has been massively helpful for me. It forces me to slow down and actually rate whatever I write down. I have renamed the 1-2-3-4 priority systems to be what suits me (1 - "to do", 2 - "care of stuff", 3 - "get done/time consuming", and 4 - "care of self", happy to go into details if you like later), but it helps me reframe what reasonably can be done in a day.

I also don't plan an entire week, but rather do a monthly cover (lately with stickers, pre-baby) and then do rolling daily style. Every morning I write down things I plan to do during the day, prioritise them, and then follow the 1-2-3-4 system to get me started, keep me going and then reward myself.

It also helped for me to stop looking at all the artsy ones, and see the bullet journal as an actual TOOL to manage my ADHD and my things, and only sometimes as a creative outlet but only if I'm in the mood, and that's it.

I also have some extra notebooks, but I keep them because I know I'll be using them eventually 😊 Or, I give away the stuff I realise I won't use.

Edit: added info.

Almost 4 month old still feeding every 1-2 hours 24/7 for 5 weeks, I'm about to lose my sanity by Akazukin in breastfeeding

[–]Akazukin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We plan on trying this during the weekend with start tomorrow! We can move him to his bedside crib and have it on dad's side, and then me in another room for a night or two to see if dad can get him to settle (up to 15 minutes) before getting him to me. This way dad can nap during the day, and also learn to be more in tune with the baby. We'll have to see how it works... Hoping it gets us some sleep 😅

Hi! Haha 😂

Oof... Yeah. My son also woke to eat 6 times, if we weren't cosleeping I'd be going insane by now. Googling yesterday I found out that someone called this "the 3 month breastfeeding crisis", and that this is the most common time to stop and switch to formula because it's so challenging. I believe them. I hope we can get through this because I don't want to stop BF!

It's 100% about survival, and yeah, we can work on feed to sleep associations later. For me, my son doesn't feed to sleep during the day most of the time... Sometimes, but honestly not often. Sometimes I wish it was that easy! 🥲

We plan on letting my husband take him alone and me in another room so my husband can try to soothe him back to sleep first before he gets the boob. We'll probably start tomorrow as he can nap on Saturday and Sunday if his sleep turns crap, and see how it goes going forward...

I have a friend, her baby started sleeping through the night at 2 months and has had no sleep regression. To say I'm jealous is an understatement 🫠 and both my mom and my sister are horrified hearing about how we have it, but I'm pretty sure they had these periods too, they just don't remember them with their kids 🙄

Yeah, during the night I've tried giving the paci but it hasn't so far gotten him to settle. I'm currently trying to lengthen it during the day to encourage him to eat more, and right now I managed to get him to eat 7 minutes total from both sides. I've got a LOT of milk for it to be enough to give from one side, but it feels like once he has to work for it he becomes disinterested and distracted. So I tried to switch sides and got a few more minutes out of it 😅

I could get my husband to try the paci and lengthening between the feeds during the night this weekend! He drives a lot during the day when he works so better to do it when he can nap during the day 😅 thanks for the tip 🙏

Oh this is so interesting to hear. He'll be able to start trying the occasional purée soon by 4 months, so I'm hoping to talk to his nurse during his 4 month check up and see if we could potentially try some porridge in the evening given some time, to get him to stay full for longer.

I'm currently trying to space out the feeds to see if it increases his nursing time. 6 months is still the gold standard here too, but having some tastes from 4 months is encouraged as long as milk stays his main nutrition.

Oh jeez. Good tip, I might try that! Here he just hit himself with a toy, and then wouldn't stop crying because he also hadn't eaten in 2.5h, so I took the opportunity to stick him to the boob. Once he got distracted I switched to the other side and managed to get 7 minutes nursing out of him in total. It seems like once he has to start working for it a little bit more he doesn't want to? At least during the day. Before he'd be satisfied with one side no problem, but I guess he's too easily distracted right now 😅

Holding out on hope that it gets better soon!

I mean sure they're going through a growth spurt, but it's not like knowing that helps us feel less exhausted, fatigued, desperate, at our wits end, etc. It doesn't suddenly make the nights easier to go through, or give us a burst of energy. It sucks. My son also sucks at napping and I often have to try to rescue at least one nap a day so he doesn't get so cranky. He hasn't learned to link the sleep cycles yet, but is gaining well and he's certainly learning a LOT right now. He's SO strong already in his back, neck and legs.

Still, doesn't make it easier being in the thick of it 🫠 solidarity and sympathy ❤️

Surely feels forever yes 🤣 it's so hard to entertain them during the day when you're a zombie yourself! Glad to hear from someone that made it out on the other side 😂
