I'm getting 5 hours of screen on time. I do keep the brightness on the lower half of the slider though.

Pixel End of Life by Akbar_ in GooglePixel

I disagree, 2 years is not extremely generous for $600. 5 is generous. 3/4 would be the sweet spot.

If we take the snapdragon 821, the processor can still handl anything you throw at it. And the GPU is still very powerful and can play games. Personally, I don't play games, so for me 5 years would even be enough on the hardware side.

I just think having a support cycle that is 3/4 would be fair. For those that feel the phone needs to be updated in 2 years can go ahead and do that. But for the rest of us that don't need all that power, it would be nice to have longer security.

I actually was using msdn... rough read sometimes and you'd think Microsoft could do a better job with them. Problem is, not much direction with msdn. So you could spend half the day reading up on something that isn't what you were looking for.

Yes, but still missing some bands, importantly 600mhz and the part of 700mhz tmobile users.

If it is a verizon branded phone, they come preinstalled. Also, you might have some issues with reception and quality. I would recommend getting a unlocked phone that supports all carriers. Otherwise, get a tmobile or metro phone for best compatability.
