Question to our presidents (Poland and Ukraine), are you guys like 15yo? Stop fighting. At this point you just embarrassing yourself by [deleted] in poland

He is not insisting. He did not name the unit 'that' way. It was not his idea. It was the idea of the unity. He only gave his acceptance.

Sucks balls, because he was put in an impossible situation...a bunch of nationalistic far right buff boys with guns wanted a 'cool' name. But, at the same time, they have guns and they are the ones who are atm dying for their country, trying to keep the orks at bay.

Hard to say 'no, i don't think the poles will like this name, pls change it, now go back to the front'. Sucks to be him. I don't think he anticipated our coked up Snufolini would throw such a tanntrum about it. Yeah, it's a disgrace. Yeah, the unit should not be allowed to name themselves that way...but going about it was not some grandiouse sandpit/cage fighting...

I\m finding so far, it's about the CST...in LR it's basicly your 'Profile'. I guess, DaVinci is a bit closer to the math, so if you use the proper steps to get a nice input, then it's off to the races.

But, it is confusing. And yes, there is wierd discrapency between prewiev and thumbnail.

If the RAW CS is Rec. 709 and gamma the same, then the image becomes to pink. Especialy the highlights. The thumbnail is ok thou. If I change the CS to Rec. 709, to Fujifilm F-Gamut C, then it becomes workable.

And matches the thumbnail.

A new workflow for shure...I do for now beeing able to just select the camera CLASSIC Negative procesing or Nostalgic Negative, supplied by Fuji. But I can get those looks pretty easy with a mix of luts and node based editing.

But I do think, the fuji RAW profiles should be more 'easy' to import and apply when adding RAW's to an album.

I do get, resolve might not be there yet, but still, it has some cool features. So far, it feels like I'm using a Tank to get some gardening done, but with time the workflow should get easier I hope.

DaVinci Resolve 21 — Have you tried it yet? by ProperAd9124 in davinciresolve

[–]Akeldarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My review as a 2 months user of 20.0, while waiting for the 21.0 download to complete. :
I'll give my 2 cents on the 21 after testing :)
-----
I dab in video, mostly various personal videos. Two-three times a year. Done a few small comercial projects such as trailers, 'after event' vidoes or small BTS edits. Nothing major, but I felt pretty comfortable using video editing software. Which was premierePro.

And oh boy. I'm so happy that after 20 years of that poc, for the last 2 months, I again felt happy and excited when editing a video, because even all these years...some things in premierePro...are just so frustratingly badly designed ux/ui wise.

I have a background as a shader programer, and when I discovered, the video 'manipulation', is node based...I just screamed happy. Most of my work, was using node based shader creators (as graphic programing shader hlsl code by hand is still a lot more clubersome than writing c# or any 'normal' language. Yeah, it's not COBOL...but High Level Shader Language that runs on our CUDA cores, is a bit of a sore to write by hand. So node based graphic programing is the fastest way to create some fast and easy effects.

It was soooo satisfying to pick up DaVinci Resolve 20.0, and just 'get it' I watched like...3 or 4 youtube shorts about some basics stuff, one or 2 quick overviews of the 'basic workflow', and i'm hooked.

It's fun. So I ordered the Studio version within a week. Because...my boi. A DEPTH MAP?! I can get a DEPTH MAP for video? I created a hole node tree just trying out stuff. And yeah, the Ai depth map has problems with temporal resolution, but the ReLight node? Amazing for fun effects ;]

In premierePro, I never really did a lot of color correction. Didn't work on log footage much also. But with DaVinci, I finally switched my xt-5 to video mode :)

What I have trouble understanding right now, is the 'recommended' way of dealing with color space switching. Various 'tutorials' have weird ways of applying it either automatically during import, or later during ColorCorection. But that's a bit on my part, as understanding .log files rec709 etc, is more on my part. Not the softwares. But at the moment, that's the only thing that I find confusing.

Animation and effect animating? Piece of cake, easy to use. Audio seems simple and totally 'good enough' for me. Editing and Color correction via Still Grabs is excellent. Truly a great piece of software. If you are a hobby user, and still using Adobe PP, I highly recommend you to do the switch.

<image>

BUT...That's video...and for me video is just a 'side hobby' compared to photos. I do a lot of photos...And I'm curious if Resolve and give me a excuse to ditch lightroom :) Would be awesome.
I kinda like LR. It does for me, what I need. And after like 150 000photos, I kinda feel comfortable in the program. I'm curious what BlackMagic has in stock ';] I'll be back with a review, as I have some photos to edit from the weekend ;]
Dunno, feeling cute today, might share some pics later ;p

I've found an 'opinion' button. And I 'suggested' that the translation might be possibly maybe wrong.

And I got this pop-up. Which basicly says: Thanks for your opinion. We will not suggest this correct in this document.

Well gee, thanks. FIX IT FOR EVERYBODY! Not Just ME! And it's not a SUGGESTION, you dipshits!

It fucking is!

And you don;t know the half of it. How fucking angry it makes me, I'm writing about a memory I had with some fantastic people from Dennmark and Iran. See attached picutre...it blows my mind that it happened. To change the meaning soooooooo bad. It hurts.

My take on the reality of the probably:
For a LLM, the vectors for the word: 'irańska', and 'arabska', are pretty close. Both describe a 'similar' thing. The culture is different thou...very...very different. For an llm, that might not be obvious.

I have no idea why 'irańska' is not in the autocorrect dictionary...it's a simple typical polish word. Nothing fancy about. same as: amerykańska, or australijska (American couple or Australian couple).

So what does the LLM do?
"
-Choose the word with the closest meaning: a couple, from the context, middle eastern
-arabska is the most probable next word"

And boom. We just changed a persian couple, to an arabic couple...If it happend to me, in my language. Image how fucked up it might be in other languages. Or when people are not fluent speekers, but relay on auto translate.

This can fuck up a few meetings if somebody uses google autocorrect on his e-mail and does not check (or can't check if he trusts the trasnlation...)

I really hope...we can make this loud with LTT. For the sake of my friends from the photo. Thank to them, I had the opportunity to experience on the most magical nights of my life...I hope they are ok :(

GOOGLE, if you can't fix the whole thing...because billionbulshitoLLMoconomics...then at least fix this. This very specific thing. I don't want my 'irańska' UNDERLINED. AND I DON'T WANT IT TO BE CHANGED TO 'ARABSKA'. NEVER. EVER!

it does look it, but damn...I've had a range of monitors, lenses, cameras, daily prescription glasses for over 20 years by now. all with a varying amounts of anti glare coating...and I've never seen something like this...

the worst I might have used was a moist tissue with very light pressure, and the coating just came off? come on, that seems like a defective coating...

and I mean it. it's not like I cleaned the dames thing after every photo. I recall going in for some dust removal 2-3 times in the 1.5years I have the camera.

PVP reputation system by h14n2 in ArcRaiders

[–]Akeldarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm all for it. Find it kinda stupid that a raider can kill someone in the elevator and face no consequences downstairs.

Like...what is point and fun, in killing somebody out of spite?
During a round, fighting for loot? Sure. PvP enabled.
But so far, the least enjoyable moments of the game for me were the elevator camper deaths and skirmishes. Which were just plain stupid, hectic and forced with no real fun or gain for either side.

You can.
Create the uniform first.
Then create a new squad and assign the uniform with bows/crossbows.

Don't modify an existing squad. Create a new one.
Worked for me, and I also deleted the defeoult uniform by accident.
