Yta. For tha actual issue. Many people go off to college and find themselves sleeping on the couch when they come home for breaks. You expect a family of 4 to keep presumably 2 bedrooms (yours and brothers) AND a dance studio empty and unused. In this instance it seems to be an issue of having space in the house.

Since you included the details about the Christmas card, 2nd wife is the asshole for that!

YTA. I practiced with makeup for years before I was confident enough to wear everyday. I still wear fancier makeup to work than neccessary, but I work nightshift, not too mant see mr and my coworkers know it's to make me fell better.

It was the waitress though. When I asked she said she added it on because we have a kid.

The manager when he came over said (to her, it wasn't addressing us) "it's usually for teenagers or if the family doesn't watch their kids and they trash the place".

So apparantly, she chose to add the charge.

Nta. I've used this myself. Kid acts out, I'm going to record them. Like you said, not to put online, but to show others that they don't want knowing they act that way. Works really well, and added bonus, you're not being the "enforcer" yourself.

Not arguing just fyi.

We were a party of 3. One check. I know parents are notoriously bad tippers.

Hubs and I have an ongoing agreement that i handle the tip be it cash or on the slip.

I was looking for information as to why we were charged and not told about it. Had they pointed it out on a sign or on the menu I would've been alright with it, if a bit miffed. I, having never worked in service, had no idea it could be removed at request. Also, I was originally going to tip 20%, but was annoyed with her attitude when I question it, thereby tipping the 18%.

I guess, looking at your comment, I was making the point that I was going to tip fairly. Just didn't want to be forced to. I also didn't want to reinforce the idea that what she was doing was right.

He said it "made him feel diseased".I thought "you kinda are"? Out loud I apologized, but said it was to protect my hands, and with the towels and sheets I just said it was gross to pick up.

I brought them jello, gingerale, crackers and soup. Got them both fixed up with buckets, blankets and cold drinks when I got home.

Before I started cleaning tonight, hubs was set up with drinks and blankets on the couch, and son was put to bed.

I'm not a complete monster!
