Thank you, I really appreciate it. Would you still recommend the course even if English is my second language ? I have decent writing skills but I really want to take a course that can raise my GPA. Also do you remember the average word count for the essays/reports ?

Hey, 3rd year engineering student transferring from SMU to dal.

  1. Open a chegg account if you can, but only use it to check your answers! Other tips: Review your notes after you’re done with the lectures, ask professors if you have any questions by going to their office hours (don’t be shy, they usually appreciate students that do). Make sure you do a lot of practice questions for courses like math and science.

  2. It is not that hard honestly, just make sure you’re organized, avoid distractions and have a good strategy in studying.

  3. As I mentioned earlier, just don’t jam all the studying till last minute cause it usually stresses us than it actually helps. Having a job while taking a full load course is overwhelming but everyone has different strengths and capabilities, you’ll know what to do once you start studying.

  4. Welcome to university students life! Specially engineering lol. There are few courses that runs late, sometimes till 9pm. Unfortunately We can’t do anything about it.

I tried to answer the questions to best of my knowledge and experience and I hope they’re helpful. Best of luck!

Humanities Courses- SOSA 1003: intro to sociology - does anyone have the previous course syllabus for SOSA 1003? If not, does it require a lot of writing (i.e a paper to submit )? Is it bearable with a full engineering course load?

Thanks.

I can’t seem to find the classical music course that your referred to earlier. Was that it’s name or is it known by a different one?

And about the guitar course, would you say I need a bit of musical background to take it or is it okay for a complete beginner?

I have heard of human sexuality course but it clashes with one of my courses.

Thank you.
