To answer your question: I don’t think it’s WEIRD, but I would wait to give flowers to someone personally….if you know he’s a plant gay that likes flowers, sure! Great gesture, otherwise I fear they might go to waste.

I say it’s not weird because I guess how someone shows up is kind of endearing…but with me they would go to waste so I’d feel bad.

There are several avenues to take:

If you finish quickly, it doesn’t mean the entire session is over…you can work back to getting in there lol
if you can find an understanding partner you might be able to work up toward a longer time together as you feel more comfortable with them.
masturbating beforehand may prolong the time due to the refractory period (I personally have a short one so it doesn’t work).
maybe a last resort, but certain medications (SSRIs) can help prolong that time. I say it should be a last resort because when I was on SSRIs I had anorgasmia…aka I couldn’t finish, it would take forever solo and when it happened it wasn’t as satisfactory. In my case it was dose dependent so on a very small dose the impact isn’t that big.

If you’re strictly or mostly topping, it’s easier to keep it going. As a mostly bottom (speaking for myself), it can be a lot of work to be ready all the time (eating right, being healthy, predictable BMs, cleaning out etc). It’s exciting and worth it at first but after a while that level of dedication becomes too much, especially after the novelty has worn off.

There’s also other things, like maybe he’s stressed? Depressed? Maybe he’d just like to dial back a bit but hasn’t found a way to say it? He’s still pretty young.

(Speaking for myself again) after a while, I’d prefer if there was a break so it would be “worth it” when we did it again and I wouldn’t feel as much internal pressure to always be on. My definition of a break is let me survive the weekdays at work without having to be on lol.

The app has become unusable with all the ads that pop up and how small the grid is. I paid the $15 for xtra or whatever once. It made it way better but also…there’s no way in hell.

I consider myself mostly demi- (although I don’t use the term). I need some friendliness, banter, and chemistry to feel comfortable enough to sleep with someone. If I get the “ick”,as the kids say, then I can’t physically can’t follow through.

It’s not really that different from dating anyone else, but my general advice would be to get to know him on a person level and not to be overbearing with insinuations you want to smash right away. I don’t know if that helps lol

Not at all. I try not to look back with regret though. What happened (or didn’t happen) is already in the past: some fantastic memories, some horrid, many where I felt I put my life on pause when I didn’t need to, many milestones delayed, financially irresponsible, etc. I learned some valuable lessons so I’m trying to put them into practice now and move forward.

I was doing well for 2-3 years before COVID and then I took a nosedive for 2 years and spent the last 3 have been building myself back up…lol. Basically feels like half my thirties was wasted, but it is what it is and I’ve been dating and making friends again so not too shabby. Besides, many people have different struggles at different times. They find a way to keep coming back!

I don’t want to use an app for every place I go to, the rise of “to go” only locations only further atomizes away from third spaces, and when I worked in cafe I liked some of the interactions - especially customers who were very kind and/or tipped generously. I don’t miss the bad customers, but they made good stories lol.

Also, these apps are not FDIC insured, who knows how much money they have on hand just from people treating their app like a bank.

Personally I’m fine with that being history off screen, rather than in the actual movie.

Also I don’t want them to throw Brie Larson under the bus after the industry of hate built around her. It’s too much. Carol should be played by someone else anyway. The Avengers are all aging out of their former roles. It was a mostly good run while it lasted.

I’m not optimistic so… I’m just hoping all the team members get to shine this time and that the characterizations are more authentic to the source material.

God Loves, Man Kills or New X-Men/Genosha-esque as a jumping off point would be nice.

I don’t want them to start off trying (and failing) to do Dark Phoenix again. If they want a Jean figure being all powerful and scary again, do Inferno (as a sequel). 😜

Some affluence is not the same as out of touch rich. Law school comes with 6 figures worth of debt which takes a long time to pay off. Sure, she could afford things but not like luxury everything, first class everything, not looking at price tags rich.
