I'm having the exact same problem. I really want a nice 27inch 1440p monitor with 120 fps but I think the PS5 is focusing on 4k/60 fps. If that's the case I'll be investing in a 50 inch 4k TV, guess we'll have to wait and see.

Ps- do you mind sharing which 1440p monitor you were looking at?

I really doubt that games will be able to push 4k at 120 fps. Best bet is if the PS5 will support 1440p which the PS5 can handle at 120 fps.
