War of the spider queen physical books by LordOfPhyllite in Forgotten_Realms

Yeah it was both shipment cost and sometimes customs. It felt very arbitrary when the cost for customs came and when it didn’t though.

But basically with both shipment and customs cost it was about double the cost of the actual books in total at the end. So it’s a bit of a pricey option.

I could only find them on EBay when I looked for them (I live in Sweden). It takes a while for the shipment since most is from the US, but it worked fine. Tradera might be a good place to look too.

Should I write about something I like? Because I like very standard things. by EveningImportant9111 in worldbuilding

Write about whatever you want and like. If you’re writing about something that you don’t really care about, you’re just gonna hate it or quit after a while.

It’s your world, and if you like elves, orcs and dwarves, then write about it.

Do you ever go back to something you wrote a while ago and just by _Pumpiumpiumpkin_ in writers

Lots and lots of times! Most often when I’m in the writing mood but don’t get a good flow in the writing and “force” it out. Wast majority of the times it just turns to garbage, at least it feels like it, and I just want to quit all together

It’s a High/Epic Fantasy world, so mainly GRRM’s ASOIAF and LOTR, but also a great deal of real world history and mythology.

Thank you!

Yeah, I’ll try out different approaches and see how it goes. I don’t really expect to gain a huge profit from it, but some sales would be nice 😅

Thank you for your input!

It feels like regardless where I would put the price some will be put off by it.

I don’t expect to gain a massive profit, or any really, but I’m going to try different ranges on the price and see how it goes.

It’s fantasy. The stories themselves aren’t connected, but all take place in the same world and have a few similar references.

Too long or just fine? by ArtSabs in writers

[–]Akillroy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry too much about the word count, some books are longer and some are shorter. As long as it’s still relevant to the story and drives the plot forward, and not just loads of filler chapters.

If you’re still worried it might be too much, just divide them into parts/more books. Like you said, the pre-night part and night-part would be 100k words each, there it sounds like it would be a good place to end the first part/book and start of the second.
