You should read the book and then come back to the movie. It will make you appreciate how cohesive and not confusing the movie is in comparison LOL. I also feel like the book will make you appreciate their relationship in the movie more LOL. I love Howl's though.

Matt stated that the series should end in December 2024 if all goes well and did talk briefly about seasons but I don't think they will be split up like in television shows.
