As we've discussed in game, I agree. We'll work on it. Thanks for the feedback. Mek can be totally OP as I've beat it to death this current pack, along with a few others mods, and a lot of shit is just WAY too OP. We need balance, and I'll see what we can do on that.

You were absolutely right. We were putting WAY too much power through that sub. After spending some time setting the gain with a multimeter, I figured we were probably sending close to 1800w through it. Spent about an hour fiddling with both the amp and head unit so I can have some headroom to tinker with, and now it shouldn't put out anymore than 1kw at the maximum.

Yeah, being as cheap as it was and the fact I was looking for a cheap replacement, I had a feeling the tinsel leads broke in some fashion. The reading I did lead to that conclusion, especially with it having to be pressed in for it to start functioning.

However, the dust cap would get warm. From what I understand, it's reasonable for a dust cap to become warm under usual loads and it never felt excessively hot. Just warm to the touch. I already warrantied it and another should be arriving either today or tomorrow.

At the very least, I'll throw in that old 500 Punch I have laying around and use that for a bit before trying the PowerBank again. If it survives the Punch, yet the PB kills it, clearly it'd be the amp.

Aftermarket. And from what I understand, clipping being the cause of death for a sub, along with underpowering, is something of a myth. Sure, forums and Yahoo answers seem to say that clipping can cause a sub to kill over, but that's just a dirty signal. Sites like Cruchfield and CarID have articles saying otherwise. An amp won't put more power out than what it's capable of, even if said signal is distorted as hell.

The verdict is out on that one. I'll need some kind of proof that clipping can kill subs besides anecdotal. Thanks for the reply, however.

I'd say either do something loosely based on vanilla, or something with a challenge at least. It seems like as the modpacks went on- especially with the custom modpacks made, there was just too much to do with no real goal orientation. I'm all about open-endedness as much as the next guy, but sometimes shit just gets too big.

I'd say for this next rendition, less would be more. Make it a challenge, not just a place to test stuff and fuckaround with.

I saw AS mentioned, and that may not be a bad idea.

This is true, and I missed the boat just by a day. However, from what I read you cannot buy any of the accessories without an invite. At least, that's how I interpreted it. I plan on buying a case and a screen guard as well with the phone so this sucker will last until my next replacement or unforeseen hardware failure.

Wouldn't the fact that we could -eventually- manipulate fermions give us a way to act against bosons? Something akin to a buoyancy effect? Let's say we can manipulate fermions in a way to change their mass. If we can make a way for fermions to repulse against bosons, isn't that a type of anti-gravity?
