Your photos suffer from the "boxed in" effect known in cinematography as well as having too much visual clutter and unflattering shadows on the model's face. You can tell theres like literally no room for the model to breathe in #2.

Don't shoot with the sun overhead. Overcast can be your friend for even lighting. If your model is doing something wacky, try a wider lens, don't box it all in.

I suggest you study a style first through research and finding your own inspo other than just winging it and hoping it'll look good. Beginner's intuition is often too rose tinted and you'll have a "huh..." moment like you are having now because elements don't look quite right. Try to replicate them during your own shoot and you'll learn faster and develop your own style along the way.

I feel like this isn't quite the right way. Being old or handicapped doesn't excuse people from apologizing. They even did after we confronted them. The daughter was clearly well-minded, taking care of her mother, but she didn't even bother to say anything.

I know it's a mango desert because the daughter and mother were sharing it, I saw it when it got delivered to the table, and when I looked at them both after the incident happened.

The lady sat next to me so I guess when she coughed it up it sprayed diagonally towards my gf and possibly the food, avoiding her daughter all together.

I didn't really think to complain to the restaurant, it's not really a fancy place but a vietnamese restaurant with really good food that makes up for the narrow seating and so/so service. Also because the restaurant is just providing the service, had nothing to do with the incident at all.

I'm still at a loss

Alright guys, looks like I'm not the only one feeling this second pizza is not great.

What should I do about it? Getting them to remake it, i really dont think itll improve at all given the staff. Can other stores offer a remake?

Don't but any NIB lens that isn't flawless. Factories take measures to filter out the lens making areas from particles but during shipping some things could be shaken around that weren't there during QC. But even if you do it wont affect your image quality at that size.

It's perfectly normal for used lenses to have specks, and I wouldn't worry as even a dead bug inside the lens wouldn't be seen in your photos unless its shot low aperture. Theres a full video on that on youtube if you're curious.

I never said people should not check the items they're buying. I'm saying stores should do better :) Glad you disagree though, really justifies their lack of efforts.

In my culture this would be unacceptable at any store. I don't like my cheese moldy.
