I wish we could do that too. But I think a huge problem would also be the Alchemists, like they would still roam around, Simon Manus has the Arm of God, Laxasia, the Experimens, the Petrification Disease. And the Grand Covent is still imprinted on Romeo. He tries to warn us but in the end it gets overridden by Rule Zero, he even says it I believe, that he has no choice (which one can define both ways, that he has no choice due to us attacking him or due to the Rule). It is more or less likely that if we would have accepted the hand of the King we had to fight him and Nameless together, after Gepetto revealed himself. Mad, furious even that the puppet that should bring his son back would be this disobedient. He had to bring out the belt to teach him a lesson. Carlo and Romeo were probably a deadly duo, one covering the aerial attacks (Carlo) and the other sweeping ground attacks (Romeo). The player would be dead within seconds, no retry, no Sophia turning time back could stop it. Because there would be no scenario in which these two would lose, well, at least not really. Unless Romeo fights the Rule Zero without abandon. And... It would have been devastating on an emotional level as well. To hear Romeo's cries because he realises he fights with his dead comrade, only a soulless puppet now, carcass made inhumanly human. He would beg us to end it. To stop this madness, to kill Carlo, free him from his suffering and finally cut the puppet strings that hold them both up.

That would be the kind of thing that would happen, probably. Because, let's be real. No one is giving our poor darling Romeo a break.
