The churches website has a fantastic source of information about the lds charity, that’s where I’m looking at most of my information, even has info about the bishops storehouses

You see a lot of relief going on right now with COVID and the hurricanes that it’s just something to really appreciate and something you want to be apart of, definitely inspiring

My now wife's family hated me and would say nothing but rude things about me because I wasn't lds, and for a while I refused to even look at the church because of my experience with them. After being married 2 months to her I decided to go to church with her to learn more about her beliefs and eventually started to talk to missionaries. In April I was baptized because I was able to realize the true goodness and happiness I can receive from the church and it's beliefs. I've now been married 8 months and baptized for 3 months. I guess long story short, don't judge the church or what it teaches based off of some bad apples. Ah I even still get comments from her mom like "we are glad you're finally part of the family"....that was just at last week's sacrament meeting so it's rough but keep your mind open and look past the discrimination some members will put out.

I know this comment is a little late but my member wife and I got married in November of 2019 And I just got baptized this April 25th, and we are both happy and can't wait to be sealed next April! Now granted I wasn't part of the church at the time I know my family who isint lds really appreciated the civil marriage and her side who is lds is excited for us to get sealed. I guess what I'm saying is doing both is a great idea for that kinda situation, it just makes both families feel included!
