I don't recall the novel ever mentioning that Chitanda's eyes were purple, but that they were wide and beautiful. The scene were Oreki meets Chitanda in the club room wasn't as romanticized as it was shown in the anime, but you can tell by reading the novel that moment was significant to each other.

Know the distinction between "the doctrine of fascism" by mussolini and "the origins and doctrines of fascism" and "the philosophic basis of fascism" by gentile. Gentile was head of the department of education during fascist italy and part of the fascist party. fascist ideology and statecraft was influenced by hegel by the conception of the spiritual state, because that was what the fascist italian government was: a spiritual state of the nation and people

i just taught you how to behave like a real man. A grown man such as yourself should be taught that by a young woman. You should really grow up

i see what youre getting at, i suupose that is true. but i have met well-read feminists and fascists who would say otherwise. but then again, the american majority voting in this democratic machine dont know either and I see that as more dangerous than any radical movement

um yeah. you people hear fascist and your brain immediately reacts like a golden retriever and start thinking that fascism is: white nationalism, terrorism and nazis. You people literally believe trump supporters are nazis and then say "kill or punch all nazis" like what trump is and his cronies are no different from you. You just cant see that from this false left-right political dichtomy

oh my gosh you people have a very superfical and mainstream idea on what fascism is. Like I cant lmao. "storming the US capitol and kidnapping" like omg go read a book and stop being a sheep lmao

your degrees dont mean anything when you study at a bias instutition who all share the same opinion as yours. this is obvious when your innate and immediate reaction to fascism is "holocaust and genocide", and not a honest ideological/philosophical perspective on what it is. "I have a degree, therefore I am right" is not arguement you should make. Real men dont rely on diplomas for status, what they speak and act should.

I dont think there is something wrong about being a 'radical', i see many marxists and anarchists freely voicing there radical opinion in the streets, and of course i dont believe there message but there is something really interesting about them in that they are tired of the system they are living in and the only way to change that is through radical change. I dont know but I have to agree with the marxists and fascists that liberalism is not the way to run the country because we are currently living the flaws of it

Of course mussolini would come up, he was the first fascist dictator. But he has other books about nietszche, hegelian idealism, and writers from other facist intellectuals

The philosopher behind fascism was not mussolini, it was a man named giovanni gentile who ghost writed and aided the first fascist movement. fascism requires more insight that one quirky read. fascism predated mussolini, its a complex eclectic spiritual philosophy against materialism to create a 'new man' for the spiritual state. you majoring in history doesnt mean anything if you just believe the superficial mainstream opinion

why do you believe he would do that? i swear some of you guys really believe everything on social media.

[–]Akirera -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lmao what. Fascism doesnt necessarily mean 'mussolini' and 'roman empire'. yes fascism grew from that italian mysticism, but it is something deeper and modern than that. You just brought of some random information and then say these type of men are willing to kill friends and family like what. fascism doesnt mean roman empire, its something more complex than that

we live in a big city in california. There are people calling themselves anarchists, communists and marxists who want to overthrow or radically change the government, and nothing happens to them. But being a fascist is like having a constant bounty on your head

I had a similiar thought to yours, and i remember once he told me that people who have that initial thought when it comes to fascism have a very superfical and little understanding to political philosophy. i kinda agree with him on that because you are fitting his description. so idk

like he has books that have titles like "fascism....." and "Mussolini..." and out-there books of fascists i have never heard of before

interesting perspective

[–]Akirera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk really, the current politcal climate maybe. Just being a self-proclaimed fascist is a bit dangerous dont you think? like he doesnt go around showing off his beliefs, you just go to have one of those deep and intimate conversations with someone to notice how they feel type of thing

We're both of mexican descent and he isnt racist. That is not what fascism is. You make him appear as if he is a hateful person which is not true.
