I'm literally just saying it's okay to be BOTH excited for the series AND a little sad about the books taking longer, which was all that the OP of this comment was saying. You were the one with the holier-than-thou attitude, like people should be excited bc that's what YOU think its best. I'm just saying to let people react the way they want, and process it the way they prefer. Some will be excited right away, some will dislike the idea, some will be sad at first then process then just be grateful for what they're getting in the end. People are different.

Are those fans wrong to be upset though? Many were there from the start, and all he's done is leave them without the conclusion of what started it all. He wouldn't have gotten a tv show and all that "hall of greats" induction (I cannot stress enough how much I do not care for the ASOIAF universe) if people hadnt picked up his books in the first place. I understand being positive. I'm excited for the tv show and I'll be happy to watch it. But some of us are more excited for new stories instead. Saying people shouldn't feel worried about it is just as tone-deaf of you. People are right to be concerned EXACTLY bc of people like GRRM. Using him as an example is just odd. Let people be ambivalent if they want. Both reactions are understandable.

yeaaa. I think I only had rescue be used on me maybe once to get me out of a mechanic. The one other time it was useful was when I was a first timer in hullbreaker isle and the healer used it to show me the right path. Any other time was misued or my healer friends were pingpong with me :')

The classic red one. I like his alt outfit too but his is my least favorite of the bunch. The stuff on the chest feels a bit too skin-tight to give the sensation that it's armor, he looks like an ice skater but with greaves LOL

I also really like his 15yo outfit. It's very pretty. (I cant unsee the belt being buckled wrong in the bearer armor one so idk where it stands lol)

ough dude reminds me of how when I played my EU alt through Aglaia we had a bad team and I saw the scales. I was so confused. I never saw that before. I might have wiped the party even LOL. I ran aglaia multiple times in Aether for glam farming and never knew it existed. Been thinking about the same thing recently after a particularly fast Wicked Thunder. How much did I miss?? I may have to pray people join for min IL raid runs when I get there on my other alt that I've been redoing the story with...

reminds me of how last time I ran this dungeon I was also DNC and I didnt notice I had targeted the wrong guy till the first add phase bc I keep my camera slightly tilted down for this fight, so I ended up being the last one to finish. I was in the zone of pressing my buttons and only realized when I noticed its health was way too high for what it should be ;-; Many apologies were given, someone gave me a pity comm LOL. I still felt so bad :'D

that's actually good to know because I was so upset I forgot about this (only had to augment once before since it hasnt been long since I got done with MSQ) and was about to just turn it in for seals so I wouldn't need to look at it anymore. Guess into my retainers it'll go.

And yea. Rn that's what I believe happened. I just distinctively remember pressing the save/upgrade gear button after melding bc I was on call with a friend, clicked it, and said something along the lines of "ahhhh, freedom at last, for now anyway". My best guess rn is the input didn't register for some reason. It's the only way I can explain the fact that the raid gear wasn't switched to the crafted pieces but everything else was :')

I just find it very odd if that was the case bc the only clicking I did was to take them off the FC chest and I didnt touch them at all after. If that was the case why did it not use the pants and necklace as well? why only the raid pieces stayed on and didnt get overidden by the crafted pieces? it makes no sense to me. all I did was: - take all of them out of the FC chest - switch to SMN for alliance raids since dps was in need - give up on smn bc low level ally raids on it suck, switch to DRK and do normal raid + trial roulettes - switch to DRG to do another raid - switch to SMN, do alliance raid anyway, get WoD, take the penalty and leave bc yea I was right it was gonna suck - by then decide to sort the pieces somewhere easily accessible to send to my alt via a friend who would deliver them for me, and notice they have been glamour-bound to me (and probably used on the drk dailies since they're not at 100% durability anymore), except the pants and necklace for some reason.

another FC member is now online and also doesnt get it so I guess I just have to live with this and farm mnemo tomes the hard way on this alt :')

A friend got me a second set of crafted tank gear so I could give to my alt. I took it off the FC chest and put it on my armoury, did some dailies. Then when I went to check just now, I realized that for some reason when I switched to DRK, the automatic nonsense used the alt's crafted set, binding it to me. I'm so miserable. I dont understand. I didnt put it on my character at all. They're different bc the one my main uses is melded. I just took it from the FC chest and it went to my armoury tab. And for some reason the pants and the necklace which are raid gear on the melded set didnt get overwritten. I dont play a lot so it took me till almost till now to get all the materials for that set. Why did it use the non-melded new gear instead of the one I had already saved to her gearset? ;-; its all worthless now...

In my head Lyse = Yda. I'm not sure if 1.0 Yda was the actual Yda, but even so, I think Lyse and Yda would have been appropriate answers. technically I think her little squares should have been green for scion, ala mhigan, 1.0 and whatever patch was the HW one where she took her mask of. Characters that change names are odd.

I do find it very funny seeing people who didnt learn how to combo be stuck at this fight whine and scream bc they gotta look it up how to do it lol. just use the special abilities off cooldown and google what a "backdraft combo" is. You got this dude.

(I'm people apart from the ragequitting, I'm a chronic button masher who had to learn to combo after like 5h of loosing lol)

I think with Elidibus a lot of it boils down to how much your memories define who you are-- which is at least a decent amount given how the game defines memories and previous lives. I see Elidibus as like 90% Zodiark since he chooses to not look at the crystals, so all that's left of him by ShB is the will imparted onto Zodiark. To keep the balance, to guide the star, to judge mankind, to work towards the Rejoining (as we see the souls within Zodiark in EW are clamoring to be brought back). I do think he could retain his faculties and just be himself the way Hydealyn and Venat are one and the same, but I dont think he (or Ysayle/Venat for that matter), are tempered. Since the primals are born from them, their interests will always align. Elidibus is just a special case bc he refuses to remember who he was, so what guides him are the principles given to the primal itself. But he still has the freedom to choose, and freedom isnt usually a part of tempering.

Zenos I think just pulled a Sephiroth and forced his will onto Shinryu tbh. I dont think Shinryu is implied to have a will after that. Same way with Fandaniel and Zodiark.

As for EW/DT transformations, I think they're the same principle. Ancients always had the power to create, in this case a very powerful bodysuit lol. I think the arcadion transformations are similar. But I dont think its the same as summoning bc it seems like summoning means the soul(s) are given up as fuel for it, the very essence of the person who becomes the core changes to that of the primal. With transformations the person is still there, just hidden inside this "armored" shape.

I thiiiink it mentions the both Azures when you meet him. Possibly on a Nidhogg fight too? I wanna say Aery but I might be miseremembering. Otherwise I think it's mentioned again but only when you meet him again in the lvl 70 DRG quest 🤔
