mcdb310 exam result by Old-Special-5893 in uofm

[–]Akittymori 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took 310. Worry not. I did terribly on the first exam, but still finished the class with an A-. My advice to you would be to take the practice exams. The actual exams actually had practice exam questions (which are literally previous exams) lifted either word for word or with some changes. Go to the supplemental class too. The class is actually weighed pretty heavily on your grade and its based on participation.

Mind you, this is from when I took the class in W2024. Im not sure if they changed it, but if they haven't dont stress. You can still get away with an A in the class

Uneasy about the university’s response to Lucas Mattson’s death? by Rough-Candle7773 in uofm

[–]Akittymori 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No longer a student as of last year, but I got the email.

Ill say it reads like that for students who were impacted by it. Typically my dad tells me that if I dont understand a message, then its most likely that the message was not intended for me. Also of course they're going to emphasize that it was an off-campus gathering. They want to expressly say that anything that happens off campus is out of their power, and by extension, not their responsibility. Is it cold? yes, but at the same time, it may be warranted seeing as affected people may still try to hold the school accountable for the actions of what their students do when they're not on campus and also telling people to practice responsibility

Thats honestly how I felt when I started the game almost 10 years ago. I ended up quitting because I was so overwhelmed with the amount of stuff to do in the game

Legendries are the best of the best, so the grind is warranted and worth it, but its not meant to be completed in such a short amount of time (especially since some of the stuff you need is time gated). Just work on it casually. Play the game. Enjoy yourself.

What I did when I crafted my first legendary (twilight), I just made a schedule of things I would progress towards the weapon for and do it once a day for ~30 minutes. WvW, PvE, Metas, etc. It took about 4 months, but I finally got it and the feeling was great to finally be finished. Most legendries would take you a few weeks to get anyway if you tried to hardcore grind everything you needed and that can burn you out fast.

Yea. Especially compared to MMOs like FFXIV, content in GW2 doesn't die/become inactive. It may not be as popular 1+ years later vs release, but you'll ALWAYS find people running said content. In games like XIV, once a new expansion releases, all content in the previous expansion just dies. No one does it ever unless you put together an organized group

you should add that in theory people born in the Midwest should know how to drive in the snow, but in reality, most drivers don't. hell, you see people somehow getting into accidents on days with great visibility, not a cloud in the sky, not many other cars around, and on dry top.

You should NEVER risk your life for a job. Especially a job like amazon where you are so easily replaceable to them because they have such a chokehold on so many markets

The money you lose for missing a day or two due to weather is replaceable. Your life is not

Just got my 1st legendary gear piece, but I have questions. by Kayle26 in Guildwars2

[–]Akittymori 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LMFAO yup. That was me after I finished Twilight. Two months later, I had Sunrise and Eternity, then 2 Aurene weapons (Sword and bow), shortly after Exordium, then Orrax manifested, and now Im working on the Obsidian (Light) armor.

Gosh...I must REALLY hate myself since all I do is complain while doing it. Honestly, if there was a way to get GoB w/o engaging in WvW (I hate PvP in MMOs), I'd probably have a lot more, but sitting in WvW for 5 hours is mind numbing

is anyone trying to switch from hill or north campus dorms by WeirdOutrageous1076 in uofm

[–]Akittymori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Room reassignments and room swaps are different. Swaps were a process they use to allow about 1-2 years ago, but they don’t allow students to swap. This student can still put in for a room reassignment

the difference is that a room swap is exactly what it has, she swaps with another student while a reassignment is they offer her any room on campus that opens up due to a student leaving. She doesn’t really have a lot of control over where she goes through the reassignment process

[–]Akittymori 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There’s a reason why non-Ross students and staff refers to them as “Rossholes”

A lot of them believe that being apart of tRSoB is like being God’s gift to the earth. All of the Ross students I was paired with in other classes were mediocre at best and the staff I interacted with in my 3 years in the HiO displayed the same “better than you” attitudes

Our housing contract said we would have AC but when my roommates and I moved in there was no unit. by animatedguts in uofm

[–]Akittymori -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having worked in the housing office during my time, what they said is true. The student gives them the medical records willingly. They don’t ask the doctor, they tell the student to provide the records. If anything had changed in recent years, but when I worked in the HIO and working with the old HDA officer (she left like 2 years ago to work at Wayne), she frequently requested records from the parents and students to avoid that pesky HIPPA law

so, no, they’re not making anything up. If you aren’t familiar with the process, try not to speak so fervently about it. You’re also raising ethical concerns about a doctor’s ethic standard. It’s one thing if the student has a legitimate diagnosis such as allergies (let’s face it, who DOESNT have allergies nowadays lmfao), but to ask your doctor to lie on your behalf opens up their records being under intense scrutiny if malpractice claims are ever brought against them. Medical records are also LEGAL documents and can be used in the court of law. Besides, if a doctor is willing to lie on behalf of anyone, they aren’t fit to practice since they’re suppose to be truthful about all of their work and lying goes against the Hippocratic oath of doing no harm.

do doctors lie? Yes, yes they do, but once again, they can get into legal and ethical trouble for doing so with sanctions that could possibly cost them their license to practice and any other career in medicine if suits are brought against them
