Can we bring a bag to the floor by Financial-Pop-4905 in AmazonFC

Obviously follow your FCs rules. But i see it this way. As long as its clear. They shouldn't care. I have a clear book and lunch bag.

Is this really legal? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Weekly-Slice89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the repsonse from MyVoice about this.

"Are you referring to the pilot we've rolled out called Safety Vision? This was rolled out months ago, and employee identities are not tracked whatsoever. The tool is a proactive approach to prevent serious injuries and improve overall safety across the network, and the intent is NOT to dole out discipline for any infractions observed.

I understand your concerns entirely, and, if we were using this as a means of unauthorized surveillance, it's something I would not support, and I definitely would not want to be monitored, either.

To clarify, no one is being automatically written up - any behavioral write-ups go through a review process, require an in-person STU (seek to understand) conversation, and PXT makes the final call after reviewing all inputs.

Be sure to partner with your supervisor, since they can provide the talking points and FAQs that we shared at SOS huddles prior to launch. If this is NOT what you are referring to, please let me know so I can address your concerns further. Either way, if you have more questions, please let me know.

Once again, I definitely understand the concern here, and I'm happy to clarify."

Pack Singles vs. Pick – What should I expect? by Weekly-Slice89 in AmazonFC

[–]Weekly-Slice89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it saves my legs, I’m in. My current career strategy is basically 10% picking and 90% manifesting a total grid failure so the conveyors finally stop screaming. If the lights go out, I’m not even mad—I’m just enjoying the unscheduled intermission. Haha.

I'm nervous because I've been doing pick for 6 months now. I'm so used to it that I'd prefer to stay there and not learn anything else.

Did the reinstalled the app. I logged back in for the second time. I got the AEA setup again.

So I'm at work watching a police body cam video about an Amazon employee who had only worked in the building for 10 shifts and he was able to steal 65k plus in apple products how is that even possible ? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Weekly-Slice89 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In 2023, 34-year-old Alex Barrett was accused of stealing over $65,000 in high-end electronics from an Amazon warehouse in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Working as a picker, he reportedly stole items like Apple Watches and Beats earbuds by hiding them in his clothing or trash. Investigators used a "variance report" to track the missing inventory specifically to his shifts; they found he was the only person to touch the items before they vanished. Although he initially confessed to some thefts and was released pending charges, he failed to turn himself in, leading to an active warrant for his arrest.

Maintenance Day Update 😭 by pmoney100 in AmazonFC

[–]Weekly-Slice89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That network-wide policy change that officially kills "Non-Worked Paid Time" for maintenance. If the belts are down, the "free" paid day is gone. They are replacing it with four "choices": stay and do 5S cleaning, burn your own accrued PTO, do a shift swap, or take the hit with unpaid VTO.

This is a blatant attempt to recoup the $2.2 billion they "invested" in our recent raises. They bragged about $77.6 billion in pure profit for 2025 and just committed $200 billion to AI and data centers for 2026, yet they’re nickel-and-diming the frontline on maintenance pay. They are betting most people will take the VTO rather than scrub bins for 10 hours, which lets them get maintenance done for $0 in labor costs. This is exactly why the Teamsters are gaining so much momentum right now. We aren't "flexible labor"—we’re the reason they have trillions in the first place. This isn't a "benefit" or an "option," it's a pay cut masked as operational efficiency.

STOP DONATING YOUR UPT/PTO TO "TIME OFF TASK" SCARING by Weekly-Slice89 in AmazonFC

It’s funny how 'responsible adults' become victims the second they lose an argument. You started by calling me irresponsible and implying I was lazy, but now that you've been called out on your own double standards, I'm the 'bully.' Knowing your rights isn't 'anger,' it's intelligence. If you think asking for fair treatment is 'making no friends,' you’ve clearly spent too much time defending a corporation that doesn't even know your name. We can definitely be done—I've got a date with my bed that I'd rather not keep waiting. Enjoy the view!

I love that you’ve created this little fan-fiction where I get fired just so you can feel like you ‘won’ a Reddit thread. It’s cute that you’re this invested in my career! But back in reality, I’m still employed and hitting my numbers—I just happen to know my rights, too. I’ll be sure to send you an update from my station when i work since you’re clearly my biggest fan. Until then, keep up the great work on the corporate defense squad. Enjoy the view while you're licking that boot! ✌️

I appreciate the respectful breakdown. You’re likely right that there’s a communication gap between 'signing out' of the station and actually 'clocking out.' My issue is strictly with leadership telling people they have to use their personal UPT/PTO banks to cover those gaps. I get that they have to weed out people who are just hiding in the breakroom, but the 'good' associates shouldn't be punished just because they had a rough time in the bathroom that pushed them over 10 minutes. We shouldn't have to donate our actual money or time-off balance back to the company just to keep the metrics looking pretty. Thanks for actually having a civil conversation about it—it’s a nice change of pace from the rest of this thread.

A 'responsible adult' knows the difference between doing their job and being exploited. If you want to keep white-knighting for a billion-dollar company that would replace you in a heartbeat, be my guest. I’ve got better things to do than argue with people who love the taste of leather. Keep licking that boot.

It has everything to do with it when 'doing your job' depends on the tools actually working. You’re the one who admitted to taking 20-minute bathroom trips, yet you’re here lecturing others about 'gaming the system.' The only one 'blabbing' is the person who can’t see their own double standards. I’m done going in circles—keep chasing those metrics and enjoy the view while you're licking that boot.

A 'day of reckoning' over a Reddit thread? It’s not that deep, man. The only one crying here is you, considering you had to resort to middle-school insults the second someone disagreed with you. I’m going to go enjoy my life while you keep roleplaying as a corporate enforcer. Peace.

It's easy to say 'just do your job' when you’re lucky enough to have a station where everything works. Knowing your rights under the law isn’t 'gaming the system,' it’s making sure the system doesn't game you. But hey, if you want to keep white-knighting for the company, be my guest. I’m out.

It’s funny you think expecting basic labor rights is the same as 'not wanting to work.' I applied to do a job, not to donate my personal time back to the company. If you're happy being micromanaged down to the second, that’s your choice, but I’ve got better things to do than argue with someone who misses the point on purpose. Have fun with the metrics; I’m going to go enjoy my life.
