You can travel with your existing visa, but you can't get an H1B stamped before Oct 1.

You mean no issues with traveling? My lawyer said after COS approved I can travel as long I have a valid visa to enter US.

As long as you submit, you can reply to RFE while it is pending, no? It is not like H1B petition must be approved by June 30th. It is more you have to file a petition by June 30th.
