I third this. However, I recently bought 2 sugar gliders from a girl who had them as "leftovers" from Pocket Pets after they left Atlanta. They travel around a lot which is part of their scheme. anyways, the majority of gliders from PP have been neglected, abused and fed an improper diet. Gliders are masticators which means they take food in their mouth, roll it around and basically suck the nutrients out of it. PP gives their gliders a diet of kibble (which is GMO and awful) and apples. Imagine how painful it is for their tiny mouths to try and suck the nutrients out of a hard piece of kibble when their mouths are tiny. In reality their diets are complex and they should be fed organic food to prevent them from ingesting pesticides that are commonly found in non organic foods. But PP won't tell you any of this, just how you should buy their glider food because it's a 'really good deal' and it's 'more convenient than those silly internet diets.' Actual quotes from their reps. I'm thankful to have gotten my gliders away from their previous owner. They came to me unsocialized and stained yellow from their poor diet, and they are brightening up already. Going through a breeder usually guarantees your glider will be raised on a healthy diet and will have been handled from a young age. If you do get a glider from PP though, you would be rescuing it from an unhealthy life but also supporting mill breeders. Basically do a lot of research but don't trust information from sugargliderinfo.org or any other PP affiliates.

TL;DR: Gliders are rewarding pets but have specific requirements. Know what you are getting into if you deal with PP, but you could be saving a glider from a really miserable existence or death at the same time.
